Coordinator Trust

I would like to know what affects your offensive and defensive coordinator's trust. Is it having them not call the plays or is it the adding/deleting of plays in the playbook. Does it make a difference, as far as trust is concerned, if you add/delete plays during office hours in comparison to doing it in the gameplan meeting. I know this is a very basic question but I have heard all kinds of theories to this and would like to hear some thoughts on this board.
