NFL Head Coach 2 is in development right now as we speak Tiburon just hasn't made an officail statement yet.

It exists, should have come out in April but it has been pushed back. Not sure when they intend to announce it, EA's new approach appears to be to wait until the game is almost done or well into development before they announce. I've seen it in motion so I know it exists and it was actually nearing the end of its dev cycle before the delay which should be a few months. EA most likely won't cancel it since they've put money into it already and is contractually obligated to release a certain number of NFL-branded titles per year.
