Fantasy Draft Question

I want to say before I ask this that I love this game and by no means am I ragging on them one bit. How hard would it be to have a fantasy draft to start things off? I'm hoping I can get a developer's input on this and if it could ever be in a patch or DLC. I think it would be neat to have that so you can have the guys you want on your team to start of the year and just to have another way to go through the game

Re: Fantasy Draft Question

I'm no developer, but I would have to think coding the draft would be a real bear. It would have to take into account the coach's Off/Def strategy, the GMs Philosophy, and work for 50 plus rounds.

I would love to have the option and hope someday it is there.

The logic is in place, it's just a question of scale. I think this would improve the replayabilty of the game greatly.

Re: Fantasy Draft Question

Personally, I'm fine without it. HC09 is designed to be an NFL simulation. The ability to draft Peyton Manning onto the Rams is pretty darned unrealistic. Again, my opinion only.

It's one of those things like sliders. It's needed only when the game isn't balanced.

In my opinion Madden needed this to make the teams interesting because they all felt the same regardless of who was on the team.

Instead of a fantasy draft, I hope a future version is fictional names. After you you play the 15 seasons for a while, it would be nice to take generic names and see what you do.

Football Manager (soccer) and OOTP has this to name a few games.

Re: Fantasy Draft Question

I just feel like it would be one more way to go through this game, and for people that are fans of multiple teams, it would be nice to be able to draft the players you like as well, and you could draft a lot of rookies or younger guys and try to develop them all
