Re: A guide to being a GM (contracts, FA, draft, etc.)

That's an awesome first post, I've been doing all of that in my Falcons dynasty. Although I don't call the games (The AI and graphics make my stomach turn inside out), I've won 3 Super Bowls in my first 4 years, and have maintained about $10 million in cap space every year.

Keep up the good work

I read through this post twice yesterday and it inspired me to start a new career. Great post, you helped me a lot with your insight into haggling with FAs and rookies.

That was great The tips you've offered are what people playing for the 1st time should look at. I've been able to manipulate the draft to my advantage

Re: A guide to being a GM (contracts, FA, draft, etc.)

Fantastic Post. Thats what i love about this game, its so indepth and... realistic!

One thing of note and is that you forgot to emphasis the importance of player comparison in the draft.

To me, this is so very important. I only draft strictly according to NFL comparisons, 9/10 they work out for me.

Especially in late rounds, you may see a 55 C but if he has a comparison with Matt Birk, then there you have a gem.

Having knowledge of good players in the NFL is a huge aspect in drafting. And yeah, if you don't know nething about a player, trade down!!

I've got myself eight 85+ potential players in the 6th and 7th round of my last draft.

Drafting is mad !! =)
