Bench QB Defining Moment...

I just got a defining moment to "Bench the QB"..LOL.

I started a new career with the bears and my starting QB is Grossman. Grossman halftime stats against the Colts is: (6 of 17 for 89yds / 0TD / 3 Int / 35%).

That's the first time ever seeing this defining moment.

That is pretty cool, and certainly something I am glad to see in the game. Its nice to see the media/fan pressure in real life associated with a struggling QB translated into the game.

Have to ask, did you end up benching him? And if so, how was your backup (guessing it's orton?)?

I kept him playing. I wanted to see how bad he can get...lol.

I had this the other day with Orton.

Maybe it is specific to the Bears

On the other hand, playing as the Jets, Favre threw three interceptions in the second game of the season (against the Pats) and I got the same defining moment. While it's cool for Grossman to give way to such a defining moment, it's a little silly to think the media and owner would be calling for Favre to sit down in week two. I obviously kept him in and took a pretty big hit in my approval rating.

I had that one a few times in my first season with Croyle at the helm. It seem to come up if your QB throws 3 picks in the first 3 quarters. (I've had a 3rd pick thrown in the 4th qtr, and didn't get the request to bench the QB).
