    Staff Skill Points

im having trouble figuring out how certain staff members gain skill points...

HC: games played (are there more ways to gain points; do big wins net more points?)

    OC/DC: no clue

WR,RB,QB : do they only receive points on TDs? if so, how many?

    O Line: no friggin clue

    D Line/ LB/ DB: sacks, int's, FFs???

    ST: ????

GM: do they only receive points on trades?

Trainer: as per Mr. Looman, wins/losses and injury recovery

      Re: Staff Skill Points

frm what Josh Looman said in the Trainer thread i will assume that wins/losses will provide points to all staff...

HC: Wins/losses (more if you beat a good team or rival), great performances from team and individuals

Off. Coordinators: Wins/losses (more if you beat a good team or rival), great performances from team and individuals on their side of the ball

WR,RB,QB, O-Line, D Line/ LB/ DB : Wins/losses (more if you beat a good team or rival), great performances from the players/group they specifically coach (QB coach only gets points if QB does well, while o-line coach gets credit for a great running day, passing day, etc)

ST coach: Wins/losses (more if you beat a good team or rival), great performances from returners, kickers, punters

GM: wins/losses, great trades and draft picks. They get points when your team drafts a player with a good overall and good potential. If you draft a sleeper in the 7th round with 95 potential, he gets a lot of points. They also get points when they make a great trade where they essentially 'win' in the exchange.

          I have a semi-related question

my trainer is now rated 99

but there's still plenty of more skills I can get...how does that work?...does he get over 100?...or will he just stay a 99?...and how much does that effect his job?...for example if I buy more skills will that translate to him performing better or is he already performing his best because he's a 99??

He stays a 99. It's just like a player. LT is a 99 overall, but he's not a 99 in every key attribute.

A bump from a thread started more than a year ago as it could help someone who is new to the game.

                    Re: Staff Skill Points

One thing on GM points: They don't get points when you lose games. I've seen them get points when you win a game, win a game against a division foe, make a good trade, and have a good Draft. I've never seen them gain points in a loss whether it's simming, supersimming, or playing the game.
