Changing Team Captains

I think the more important question is: Does the captain status different players effect the team at all? Does the "team captain" feature effect gameplay, or is it purely cosmetic?

good question, with all the personality traits choosing or not choosing certain players as captains could have quite an affect on players attitudes. Maybe not quite so much in football, but in hockey, that C or A on your sweater means a lot!
