GamePlay in NFL Coach

Can you actually play the games (like in Madden)?

Is it worth a crap to do this? (how is the gameplay if the above is "yes?")

What are the graphics like?

Thanks to all for answering!

You can not play the games if you mean control the players each play. What you do is call the plays from the sidelines and then watch it transpire on the field, but no control over the players.

The graphics are apparently the same as Madden 08 from what I hear. They're not great, but graphics are only the icing on the cake in this game.

Is it worth it? Only if you are a true football fan who lives eats and breathes football. Then it is ABSOLUTELY worth it.

No, you can't control the players. That would defeat the purpose of this game.

Graphics are Madden 08 with "plainer" textures. They're serviceable, nothing more.

If you have the access you should download the demo and give it a shot, you'll have a much better perspective of the game after doing that.

Ok a quick questions.

How does the simming work. I dislike the preseason so can I sim it to the end like in madden without have to play the games.

How do u change deactivate players if they are hurt

Thanks, I'm new to this game

Far be it from me to tell someone how to enjoy their game, but it's probably not a good idea to sim through the pre-season.

This isn't like Madden where the pre-season is basicaly meaningless, in Head Coach the pre-season is used to set the foundation for what your team will be when the season starts.

I think you should atleast play through the pre-season once to see all that goes on, then if you still feel like simming it, then you can sim to your hearts content; but everything that comes up will be handled by your GM and assistant coaches, so I hope you trust them with your team.

You can "instasim" or you can supersim... one just generates a full games results, the other allows you to call the plays in an interface similar to live gamecasts on ESPN or NFL websites.

That said.. in Madden, I sim preseason... NOT in this game. Preseason is a very important period to get to know your players that's a LOT more useful than looking at numbers, especially undrafted rookies when you don't have enough info.

Ok another stupid noob question does the cpu substitute automatically during preseason like madden by subbing in the 2nd string at the half or start of the 3rd quarter
