cant play regular season game

I started a new career after downloading the patch and I am unable to play games in the regular season. The draft and pre-season go just fine but when I try to play a regular season game it just stays on the loading screen. It continues to cycle new facts but never actually starts the game. I left it on for almost ten minutes out of curiosity and it never advanced. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or how I can fix it?

I've seen this happen a couple times on my PS3. It's typically right after sound drops out.

Just for fun, check the disc and make sure it doesn't have a smudge on it.

The disc looks fine and I havent had any sound problems. It works for any preseason games I try to play but not the regular season. Its done this with two different careers too.

PS3 or Xbox?

If Xbox, maybe try clearing cache memory.

If PS3, maybe profile/save file is corrupted. I would remove it all and start from beginning to see if it happens again.

When that happens, i just restart the game and it works again for ps3.

So i deleted my quicksave and that seemed to fix everything. Ive managed to play 3 games of my falcons career and win them all. Matt Ryan just got hurt for a month or so in practice though so things are about to get very tough since I dont have a decent backup.
