Thing is, if they did this, it would probably end up being just one more tool the AI has to screw over the user with. You'd probably be seeing the user's team botching holds or snaps a bunch of times per game, especially in the final two minutes, while the AI team would be flawless every time.

I miss enough kicks as it is in the final two minutes, I wouldn't want to have to worry about botched holds or snaps as well.

If you can find proof, go ahead and correct me, but I do not believe you'll find a player whose only function is to long snap the ball and would not be used as a 2nd or 3rd string lineman also. I don't see where you would correct that in this game for more "realism"
Nearly every team in the league has a dedicated long snapper.

As much as I'd like this, I'm with those who think that EA would, as they usually do, overemphasize it, and we'd have nine bad snaps a game.

I do think there should be some way of having special teams guys in the game. Guys like Steve Tasker, Sean Morey, and Fred McAfee stayed in the league for years based on their special teams work. Roster decisions are made every year on every team based on ST.

well, in a way it is in the game. ive had guys whose ratings as OL were pretty terrible, but when i looked at the LS position they were my top rated player. this effectively makes them a dedicated LS.

Re: The Long Snapper

Regarding LS skills. I tend to just put in a backup bench player in this spot so as not to fatigue a starter. I don't see any sort of LS SKILL to make it meaningfull.

Brian Jennings has been the Niners LS for 8 years, and I have never seen him play one down even in the preseason at any other position.

In those years he has made OVER 5 million dollars! So yes I am teaching my sons how to long snap.
