Hardest team to be?

I know we've been over this a few times. But i'm having way to easy a time with the Redskins. I'm not going to put ANY points into coach skills and going to try to keep trades etc. as realistic as possible. I'm trying to decide between the Chief, Dolphins and Falcons. I considered the Lions too but they have really good WRs.

So...any thoughts?

I heard that the Texans were the toughest team to do

Re: Hardest team to be?

I wouldnt think the Texans would be that terribly hard. They have some great young players (Johnson, Williams, Ryans), and a solid QB. Those are some pretty good building blocks.

I would say the Dolphins, chiefs, and falcons tend to be the most challenging. If I had to pick one, I would say the Dolphins. They have the least overall talent right off the bat.

Re: Hardest team to be?

I'm the dolphins and with good drafting and cutting of poor players, I won the superbowl with a record of 14-2 in the first yar.

So I would vote for the Falcons to be the hardest. As they have some poor players and poor coaching from day 1.

At least the dolphins had some good coaches and an awesome GM. Which helps and the Falcons have nothing.

Re: Hardest team to be?

i'm 4-1 with the lions right now and I traded away Kitna and Roy Williams for draft picks. I lost to the pack week 2 70-10 lol. I honestly was hoping it would be harder than this. It seems like I can run VERY easily except on the Vikings in week 5.

Just wondering, what level did you take your HC in skill points? I've been keeping my HC at Level 2 on all offensive players. I'm making my HC an offensive HC. Like you I've been keeping it realistic.

I tested a couple of teams like this, so far so good. My team hasn't become a powerhouse over night in season 1. I'm 1-1 with the Texans now, going on 1-2 losing to the Titans 26-10.

It sucks that you have to tone down your HC.

so using the points to upgrade your coaches is what is throwing things out of wack? I know I started a career before the patch and could not win a game now all the sudden i'm 4-1. before the patch I didn't really know much about the game and didn't upgrade my coaches. I want this game to be hard but I don't want to have to sacrafice improvement of my coaches skills if I don't have to.

So if I hire new coaches in the offseason and they are better is that going to make the game way easier also?

A few of us have been seeing our weak teams become powerhouses in year 1 when we upgrade our coaches. We have also seen rookie QB throwing for 5,000 yards and becoming MVP.

Chuck, i don't have an answer for you regarding hiring new coaches. I guess i'll just hire coaches in the 30 overall. I'm just trying to make this game as HARD as possible.

It's ashame that EA makes game so easy. I know alot of us playing this game are adults and need that challenge.
