    Derrick Conroy

I'm in the 1st year of the Maceo Sweetney draft and I want an opinion on this guy. I have a Spread Option offense so a running QB like him could be good, however when I scouted him his potential is only 88 (only). I have an 83 overall Andre Woodson who SUCKS and always gets sacked and also Josh Johnson, but his overall is 71 right now. I want to know if I should just keep Johnson and develop him to be my QB or pick up this KSU QB.

I think that you might need to change your qb philosophy. Conroy was a better than that if i remember correctly. And IMO Johnson just takes to long to teach and throws too many picks.

I'am not sure what your qb philosophy is ,but if your looking for a qb that is a running QB then Derrick Conroy or Josh Johnson is the qb you should have there speed is around 90.

My philiosophy is Mobile/Speed, but it could be that my GM is the Raiders GM and he is awful.

            Re: Derrick Conroy

I noticed him when I was making my Maceo Sweetney draft sheet. He seemed like an above average prospect for a mobile qb, but he wasn't like the end all be all guy. I'm not sure when he gets drafted though. I wouldn't spend a 1st round pick on the guy, but if you can get him in the late 2nd round then go for it. He should help for a year or 2 until you find the perfect qb.

              Re: Derrick Conroy

I'm pretty sure he was an early 1st round pick. I don't know tho, I would think it would be pretty easy to find a mobile QB. You could even take a WR or something and convert him to QB. I had McFadden play QB for one of my teams before. He did fine.

Just to help out with your QB situation, grab Brian Brohm and use Field General QB for Team Philosophy, he as a potential of 93 and a good learning grade 87, 91 now on my 2nd year as my starter. Only slight downside is his durability only an 85.

                    Re: Derrick Conroy

Slightly off topic, but Tristan Riley is an awesome QB. I got him in the 4th round. I didn't want to wait any longer for fear of not getting him. Two preseason games was enough for me to trade Tony Romo who was a 93 at the time.
