Slightly OT: Quick Question = Head Coach 09 worth $15?

I know I should be posting this on the Head Coach board, but I need some quick replies and I wont get that from that board

Futureshop is selling Head Coach 09 for $15. Is it worth my time and effort? Or are the rosters so horribly outdated that I should skip the bandwagon this year?

What do you think?

since I can't play Madden 09 now thanks to what's going to be possible, HC09 hasn't left my xbox.

Head coach has a tremendous offseason. A lot of gameplay problems but not as bad with the patch. Pre patch there are a lot of problems but with the patch it is great in terms of offseason and team management.

You will love the draft and off season stuff. Definitely worth it- you get to see what Josh and Donny are capable of. Hopefully many things are brought over to franchise mode.

definitely worth 15 bucks. it's the only game i've stayed up till 4-5 a.m. without realizing it. offseason and in season team management = EXCELLENT. on the field gameplay = a train wreck (hey, it's Madden 08 lite).

If you are patient with bad in-game AI then yes this game is great...I personally could not stand seeing the RB run directly into his blockers instead of into the hole, but like everyone else is saying the offseason among other things are incredible...I usually just simmed the games and did all of the other stuff...

And unlike a lot of the problems in past Maddens, a lot of the AI issues could be addressed using some slider combinations, which are discussed in the HC section of the site... It's a great buy and at 15$ I'd be all over that...

I'll have to check out those threads.

After my online leagues were done a couple weeks ago, I took out Madden '09 and put in Head Coach and it's been a real treat (except for the in game graphics/AI as mentioned). where franchise mode in madden is static, HC09 has what I call the SimCity feature where the clock is running and there's a bunch of tasks you can take care of during the week.

It can be overwhelming at first cause it's completely different from franchise mode, and that's kinda what I was expecting. So it's a nice departure from the norm.

$15? totally worth it. you'll spend more on your favorite beverages while you're playing it till late at night

What in the world made you think the Head Coach board couldn't answer your question?

Trust me the guys here do everything possible to support your playing/knowledge of this great title. I have a notebook of suggestions and pre scouted stuff thanks to them.

Buy it and ask away.
