Question about FBs

Im currently using Jacob Hester as my FB. I have him mastered on all the run plays I perform. I run in two tightend set with a tackle as one of the TEs.(steelers playbook) I would say 70% of the time on dive plays he takes out the free LB and does what he is supposed to do. The other 30% of the time he will just run straight past the LB and the LB stops my RB in the backfield. It is a lot worse against teams like the patroits(3-4 defenses)

I am also using the claystone's 95 RBA sliders

My question is it the game itself(bad blocking logic) that is causing this or is it the fact that hester has something like 77 awareness. If you have had better exp with a smarter FB I will look to replace him, but if its the game logic then I will just have to grind it out.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a combination of both.

Re: Question about FBs

I have Jeremi Johnson (i think thats his name, its the guy from the Bengals in real life I believe) and he's been excellent. My team averaged over 5 yards per carry both in simulation and in actual gameplay and he and my right side of the offensive line just flat out punish defenses.

Re: Question about FBs

Thanks for the heads up.

I was going to pick up Korey Hall if he was released into free agency but no such luck. Right now Hester is the best I can get so Ill have to live with him for another season

I would think about picking up another FB in general but I am already at week 3. I would be halfway into the season if not more to have him catch up to Hester's playbook knowledge.

I wish I had a better RB in general but I am currently using a 3-4 back set of guys under overall 76. The 76 overall is a bad runner but has 90+ learning lol and the second best back is injury prone. I was hoping a back would drop to me in the draft or I would trade for someone but no such luck. I stock piled 14 picks for this next draft by trading down so I plan to wheel and deal during this coming offseason.

If you want a very good blocking FB, go after Regan Mauia, the guy is a beast.
