Re: Flash Gordon draft path
I got this from these boards somewhere and modified it a bit, adding more information. Hopefully it helps some.
For some reason I thought u were asking for the English draft, I dont have the spreadsheet like i do for the English draft, but I can post my notes up if youd like.
I use the undersized DE , Prototype DT, Tall receiver/ Endzone threat, Coverage LB, Strong OL, Smart SS, and Playmaker TE philosophies.
ROLB Wendell Tarver Pot = 94, Learn = 85, Int = 83
LE Xavier Cox Pot = 96, Learn = 85, Int = 83
LT Selvin Lankford Pot = 97, Learn = 85, Int = 87
WR Flash Gorden Pot = 93, Learn = 81, Int = 81
ROLB Domisa Bomani Pot = 92, Learn = 84, Int = 82
SS JJ Collins Pot = 92, Learn = 88, Int = 82
WR AJ Boone Pot = 90, Learn = 86, Int = 83
WR Jamelle Lucas Pot = 94, Learn = 81, Int = 84 (GREAT pick for WR in this draft, probably my favorite receiver out of this group)
DT Riko Kemp Pot = 94, Learn = 85, Int = 85
DT Devin Gilbert Pot = 94, Learn = 86, Int = 82
those were the main ones that i wrote down being over 90..
the TE Cousins was over 90 as well, but went before i could get him
Hope this helpsAttached FilesLast edited by CFraychineaud; 06-29-2009, 02:19 PM. Reason: Sorry thought u were asking for the english draft.Comment

Hey, do you have a Ozzie or Zazzali one?
I have downloaded a Sweetney and a 08' one from here, it would be cool to finish the collection.Comment

Does any one have the learning rating for the 08 draft. I have a guide with the potentials but not the learningComment

Re: Flash Gordon draft path
Right now, I'm kind of in love with Lankford. His athleticism is absolutely unreal for an offensive lineman. Because I also grabbed the Walter Jones clone from this path (who turned out better than I thought) I've designed several plays in which Lankford's a TE or a FB to take advantage. Next year when I get the other Boma brother I plan on designing a few plays where the two of them will pull right on sweeps. Oh, did I mention I've gotten freakishly lucky and nabbed both Lankford and Javon Jackson (Future 50 Florida LT from the English draft) outside of the top 10 - which makes them both ridiculous bargains. And this ridiculous luck has also allowed me the ability to move Chris Samuels inside to LG - meaning I've got three elite left tackles on my line. Oh, how I love my O-line. Great big man-love.Comment

Wow! Where does LT Lankford usually go in the draft? Is he a top 10 pick?
Do you use the strategy that you don't scout the players you want? Is this how Lankford fell to you after #10?Follow me on https://twitter.com/ for NFL Draft and football news. @MackDraftComment

Re: Flash Gordon draft path
He did get freakishly lucky. I am on this path with the Patriots, and I didn't scout Lankford or Jackson, and both are usually gone in the first three or four picks. Many times I've had to trade up to #2 just to get them.
I believe Lankford is the best OL in the game. The guy has either 97 or 98 POT depending on philosophy, and he's freakishly athletic (the guy is 6'7, 307 and he has 86 SPD).Comment

I think I accidentally benefited from that. I didn't scout much on Jackson because LT was one of the few positions I was set at and, given all the talent in that draft, I didn't want to waste picks moving up. My plan was to grab a LB at #13 but Mack Truck went at 12 to the Vikes and Jackson fell into my lap. And with Jackson in tow, I didn't do that much scouting on Lankford either. I knew his insane athleticism from his combine performance but that was about it. That said, both were very high throughout on most teams' Pick the Picks, so I'm not 100% sure it was the non-scouting. Might have just been freakish luck with how the draft needs fell out.Comment
