Can't Sign Player...

I'm in the preseason and theres a player I want to sign (FS Brandon Bellamy, a 1st rounder in 2010 for me). I missed the bidding on him earlier, and now he's lying in free agency. However, I can't sign him, and its not because I dont have roster space or anything. He doesn't show up when I go to see the free agents through the free agency button. I can find him when looking at rosters and then free agents, but there is no option to sign him. Everytime I sim to the regular season, he just disappears. Is there any way to sign him without having to revert to the last save? Because that save was during the draft sometime, and that would suck.

he is probably among the free agents on the list to be brought up for bidding. Just progress through until he comes up.

No worries...he will come up for bidding. Just wait until you get the notification that you can bid on him.

Nope, once the season rolls around he is gone. I've simmed until week 3 and he hasn't popped up; also, he is no longer visible when I go to roster -> free agents. Not just the free agents section, but the actual roster section, where he would be visible if this was the case.

Its not a huge deal to sign him, but he is a future stud, and it would be a shame for him to be out of the league after just one season.

Ive had this happen before. He is gone for this season but should reappear next season

I too have had a simalar promblem there is alot of times when I thought that my GM was releasing my guys into the free agency... The most recent one was in my 49ers dynasty and after year 1 my starting pro bowl SS Kelin Johnson was missing... I searched every team, and through free agents and nothing... My roster after the draft and traning camp invitees was only 47 players, I know that I wasn't over the roster, and he wasn't released so I figured he must have decided to take a year off, and sure enough next year in the offseason he came up during the free agency signing period and signed with the Titans...
