Mike Zazzali Draft Path Players to draft!

Ok since I started up another career again I figured I would be a rundown of players that should be drafted in the Mike Zazzali path. I will start with the 2009 draft and then do the 2010 draft. I will post up the 2011 draft once I finish it. While I have played about halfway through this path as I have others I can give a great rundown of players to look out for. I will mention tips along the way with players as well...for instance if they are sleeper or 1st Rd pick, and if you need to change their position. Also, I am going to be naming only the players that have names that never change...there may be other solid players you can draft, but the names and colleges are randomized so I am going to bypass that so some mystery still remains.

    Cheers!

    2009 Draft!

    QB:

    Mike Zazzali (1st rd)
    Chris Essex (1st rd)

    RB:

    Adrian Joeseph Jr. (1st rd)
    Vonnie Mendenhall (1st rd)
Jacob Flynn (usually 1st rd, but sometimes falls to 2nd)
Kenton Kasom (Best RB in this draft imo...2nd - 3rd rd)
Jalen Stoudamire (Sleeper, an absolute monster power back...6'1 275)

    WR:

    Blake Walton (1st rd)
    Kendrell Kennison (1st rd)
    Marques Dantley (1st rd)
Elmore Carter (Anywhere from 1st - 3rd rd) Posession style receiver as not much speed, but solid hands
Roscoe Lester (Anywhere from 1st - 3rd rd)
    Vontay McBee (Sleeper)

    TE:

    Kwame Frampton (1st rd)
    Joshua Brandt (1st-2nd rd)

    T:

    Marquay Traylor (1st rd)
    Trumaine Stallings (1st - 2nd rd)
    Geoff Shaffer (1st - 2nd rd)

    G:

    Rondell Owens (1st - 2nd rd)
Tyler Fordham (Usually 1st rd, but sometimes falls to 2nd)
    Sean Fogerty (2nd - 3rd rd)

    C:

    Franklin McLemore (1st rd)
    Jeremy Dahl (2nd - 4th rd)

    DE:

Artis Drexler (3rd - 5th rd) Use as a pass rushing blitzer (95 speed and 6'6 235 with decent pash rush moves)

    DT:

    Tim White (1st rd)
    Herman Cable (sleeper)

    LB:

    Chase Beck
    Gino King

    CB:

    Demarrio Waddell (1st rd)
Corey Bulluck (1st rd, rarely falls to 2nd) However be aware of potential. He is better suited as your third CB
Syvelle Simpson (1st - 2nd rd) Use only in zone style defense...perfect fit for tampa 2
    Knoshawn Mincey (1st - 3rd)
    Jamaal Frazier (sleeper)
    DeAntony Nails (sleeper)

    FS:

    Riley Mears (1st rd)
    Sanrick Raines (2nd - 4th rd)

    Jerome Bartell (1st rd)

Note: I do not pay attention to kickers and punters...you can always find a decent kicker or punter in Free Agency.

I agree he is the best, besides he is from Georgia and they produce some soild backs... (ex. Herschal Walker, Terell Davis, and soon to be great Knoswen Moreno...) He is very soild in the Colts, Eagles, Pats, and 49ers playbooks... Good Reciever and Speed back in the mold of Brian Westbrook and Jospeh Addi...

Re: Mike Zazzali Draft Path Players to draft!

I am going to post the 2010 draft when I have some extra time this weekend. I will also do the 2011 draft at that point as well.

Key tip...make sure you do good in the 2009 or 2010 draft...the 2011 draft is weak.

        Cheers!

Its the area in general...most of your solid RB's come from around the Southeast region. Florida as a state is known for producing stud RB's as well as Georgia.

Anyway, Kenton Kasom is a stud. Pair him along with a power back such as Jalen Stoudamire and you have a lethal combo for years.

          Cheers!

            Re: 2009 Draft!

            QB:

            Chris Essex (1st rd)

Essex's greatest downfall is his 49 LEARNING rating. That said, he'll be a project, and most likely shouldn't be drafted anywhere in Rounds 1-2.

            DE:

Jay Nedney (1st - 2nd rd) make sure to change to DT
Robert Thornton (1st - 2nd rd) make sure to change to DT

Of course, unless your drafting either in to a 3-4 defense.

I can understand your views here, but the round listing is not my opinion on where the players should be drafted, but instead where they are usually drafted to give you an idea of how to plan the draft out to get a chance at drafting the player.

Anyway, Essex may be a project, but he is a stud and besides if your a good coach and you actually play the games...developing him is easy and with the motivator special skill the learning problem isn't an issue. Also, if you miss out on Zazzali and need a QB...Essex is worth the investment.

Additionally, I mention changing the DE's to DT's simply because they are more productive at DT in any system. Plus, if you want some of these guys changing them to DT makes sure you avoid the drafting a bust goal more often times than not.

Also...if you want a great pass rush...you want DT's with some speed and pass rushing moves to get to the QB. Then again...that is my opinion because I am a relentless blitzer. LOL.

              Cheers!

This is a weak class overall, but there are definitely some gems. There are more players to scout, but these are the main players to target.

Note...While I am listing the players that are worth targeting it should be noted that there are other players that could be better, but are randomly named. Also, I pay more attention to individual skills and the upside of the progression of the skills, not the overall potential which I feel is generally way off.

I will keep this up with the 2011 draft coming some time in the next few days or so.

                  Cheers!

Paul Abbamonte is a big injury risk, u can ask Sanchez, in his Falcons dynasty on OS, he drafted him and he spent almost all the time on the bench with injury after injury...

This is I know. However, while I am listing the players I am not doing all the scouting...know what I mean. I would expect anyone who uses my guide to do their own scouting regardless. In essence, I have to leave some mystery.

Can anybody tell me what DE-Robert Thornton's potential is when you move him to DT? I use the DT-Prototype philosophy. I'm trying to decide between him and Jay Nedney for my DT, and I know Nedney has a 90 potential when you move him to DT. TIA
