Has anyone ever gotten large numbers of pancakes by playing the game? The other teams linemen routinely get 20-30 pancake in a season, and 2-5 in a game. I consider it a good game when one of my linemen gets 1 in a game, most of the time they get none. I have seen that you get more pancakes if you sim the games. Do the special skills help you as far as getting more pancakes. Any help would be appreciated.

I think Impact blocking for the player matters. Regan Mauia FB gets them all the time for me.
Seem to get alot on special teams plays mostly kickoffs, for some reason. -

The OLman who will tend to get the most pancakes, in my experience, is your left guard, because he's the one that's most often free to beat on a 'backer. Second-most is your strong-side tackle. That's if most of your running plays are inside runs with no pulls.
You can have better luck with tosses, sweeps, or counters that pull linemen, or with screens where you've got linemen matched up against 'backers and defensive backs. On the default sliders even the Boma brothers don't rack up pancakes during non-sim games, and if they can't do it no one can.
AFAIK you'll never get a pancake on a passing play unless it's a screen play. All in all, it's pretty hard to do.Comment

Other than my FB, my RT and RG seem to get the most for my OL. I do try and run the ball alot, just need to pass more than I would like to in this game. LB's split the C/G way to easy and blow up run plays.Comment

I don't know, I really don't mess around much with them.
I run alot and my FB is the lead blocker most of the time so he is on a LBer or DB I think that is why he gets so many, plus he is a good run blocker.
I have had games were he gets his 3rd and the message comes up, every 3 or 4 games I would say that happens.Comment

I really don't get alot, even with a run heavy offense, I just think it might be one of those stat glitches in the game, kinda like the whole redzone td vs. fg thing...Georgia Bulldogs
