    WISHBONE OFFENSE

now just becuase the wishbone offense isnt rated as strong doesnt mean its bad, infact it could be one of the best if not the best running offensive playbook in the game if used correctly there are 5 things you need to have for you to have succses in this offense

    1. great O-Line, this may be obvious but you need to have a O-line that can understand the playbook, is a decent pass blocker, and a excellent run blocker and make sure that you dont sign a guy that is in the mid-80 and a great pass blocker becuase they will suck at run blocking
    2. this also has to do with O-line and it has worked for me. ok so get tackles on both ends that are athletic and has great burst off of the line so your running backs have blockers ahead of them. for the interior line men, get them bigger and really strong with excellent impact blocks with some agility to make holes quicker, (the center has to be the best of the O-line
    3. the QB position is a very tricky thing for this offense, what you need is a QB that can run becuase the O-line will be more of a running type o-line and does not need elite throwing power but they do need to have a high learning and accuracy with a quick release i would not recommend andre woodson due to his slow release, when i had him in my 1st year he was sacked like 50 times and it was not the o-line becuase he had like 6-7 seconds to throw, and do not think the handoff time does not matter becuase it does
    4. WR and TE for this you need sure handed big receivers that can also contribute in the run blocking, the nice thing about the wishbone is that you cut down on your money becuase you only need 1 good WR and TE,unless they are injury prone then i would get a decent to good backup
    5. the most critical position in the offense the BACKS, (FB and RB's) from my experience its best to have in the backfield 1 running back that has pure speed and agility and excel and next to him, you would have you starting running back and he has to be elite and i mean ELITE 2 names that come to mind is boar jackson or lemarcus taylor, in this offense, for me boar jackson puts up 200 yard games and hasnt been injured. and finnaly FB this is a very important position that is easy to find players for you can have a very good blocking back or a complete beast trucking RB that you convert to FB that is the inside running back .

hope this helps and good luck

I compleatly agree except I have Andre Woodson and like him. I don't throw hardly at all, less that 10 plays a game and most of the time I mobilise him and max protect him. I haven't had isues with his release. BTW I have 4 WR with 94 + pot so I don't know what to do with them

Praticially unstopable I run the 4-2-5 and Thera this play called Middle Blitz where both backers Blitz A gap the center can't pick the both and usually if the back manages to pick the other one up one of the lineman will break free either way it's praticially unstopable. Last season Brian Urlacher lead the league with 30 sacks Kiwa Mitchell was second with 24 and the next highest in the league was 17. the 4-2-5 really inflates your stats of your linebackers and Safties

            Re: WISHBONE OFFENSE

I personally don't like the 3-2-6 because I hate anythingwith 2 saefties cuz it's 2 consetive and it's really not nessisary to have a good pass defense and a foot pass rush helps more than effective coverage. I ran into the same problom with the colts but because they don't keep in any TEs to block if u bring outside heat and leave the middle backers in coverage you can still put good pressure on Payton Manning. Bringing B gap heat works well 2

not if you use 1 safty as a pass rusher to the side, i use abdul ross a LB from iowa that can tear it up

Do u bring him in the box or is it like a delay blitz. I personally don't like delayed blitzes too much because usually the QB gets rid of the ball before the Saefty gets there

Good thinking yeah so your defense looks more like a 3-5-3. I made a couple plays from a formation like that

i use to have a 2-7-2 and a 0-7-4 they were suprisingly effective

ha the best is 0-8-3 i tryed it 2 times and in the game i had like 6-7 interceptions and like 10-15 sacks but it was to easy

Wow what personel did u use and were the backers evenly spaced or what. I wonder what would happen in u just spread all 11 players evenly accross the field like 5 yards off the line of scrimmage and just blitzed zoned or did man coverage with any random pattern with them in passing situations

                              Re: WISHBONE OFFENSE

the CB were playing man and there were random blitz's and random coverages so that there was always 3 men at least in coverages and the saftey played zone all the time and usually 1 LB would look like hes about to blitz then break off into zone coverage
