I've written out the steps i did on my first post.

Let us know how the HB's are doing, on both teams, not just your. Are they running straight, are they getting big gains, etc.

Also don't call your plays, just hit the "B" button for the whole game.

Re: Has Anyone Tried This???? Weird.

Pretty interesting battle in the run game. McGahee vs. Maroney in the 1st half and Rice vs. Faulk in the 2nd. Here are the stats:
BAL
McGahee: 21 att, 94 yards, 1 TD
Rice: 17 rush, 54 yards, 2 fumbles
NE
Maroney: 11 rush, 45 yards
Faulk: 10 rush, 68 yards, 1 fumble

Interesting. McGahee showed some nice ball carrier vision in this game, something I rarely see in this game. One big thing I noticed...McGahee never ran backwards! I think Rice struggled a little bit. He ran backwards a few times and he didn't take advantage of the holes as well as McGahee did. Probably just him being a rookie and not knowing the playbook as well.

On the Patriots' side, they barely ran the ball with him. I was amazed at how pass-happy that team was. Maroney kinda blew in this game. Take away his 22 yard run and he has 10 rushes for 23 yards (2.3 yards per carry). Faulk had much better vision and seemingly hit the appropiate hole every time. Run defense wasn't overwhelming like it normally is.
In case you're wondering, I lost the game 33-16. McGahee scored my only TD.

Want to get a better sample on the CPU's run game, so Ima play the next game later. I'm playing the Vikings so hopefully they'll put AD to work.

P.S.- You might just be on to something, claystone!

WhoRweNation,

How is your game going? I just got home, going to work out for an 1hr before playing.

I like to see other people try this out with different teams.

I'm praying this wasn't a fluke....lol

I like to see the Steelers and also Bengals.

Yes, Rice is a rookie and it seems like the Vets have a better run game.

Re: Has Anyone Tried This???? Weird.

OK, in my 2nd preseason game I played the Giants and A. Bradshaw had 24 carries for 117yds and 2TD.

I'm in my 3rd Preseason game Cleveland vs Detroit and it's halftime. Cleveland is up 20-10. Detroit running game is not there, but Cleveland is.

So Far:

Cleveland Rushing
J. Lewis: 15 carries for 91yds / 6.0avg
C. Houston: 5 carries for 29yds / 5.8avg.

Detriot Rushing
T. Bell: 7 carries for 6yds / 0.8avg.

J. Lewis and C. Houston are running very well. btw I picked up Houston the 2nd week in FA and his running so far. I finish up the game and get you the 2nd half stats.

I've been going back and forth between the Jet game and HC...lol.

Anyone else try this yet???

OK, 2nd Half numbers

Cleveland Rushing
C. Houston: 14 carries for 61yds / 4.3avg.

Detriot Rushing
B. Calhoun: 21 carries for 73yds / 3.4avg.

Much better running game in the 2nd half for Detroit. My Cleveland Browns lost 30-34.

Re: Has Anyone Tried This???? Weird.

Played the 2nd preseason game, Baltimore (me) vs. Minnesota.
McGahee vs. Peterson in the 1st half
Rice vs. (Chester) Taylor in the 2nd

Baltimore
McGahee: 25 att, 57 yards, 2.3 YPC
Rice: 20 att, 48 yards, 1 fumble, 2.4 YPC
Minnesota
Peterson: 25 att, 106 yards, 1 TD, 4.2 YPC
Taylor: 23 att, 63 yards, 1 TD, 2.7 YPC

Yea...The Williams Wall dominated my interior linemen. 6 tackles EACH. The vision was still there for McGahee and (sometimes) Rice but the there were no holes in sight. They were bottled up almost every run play. On the other end, Peterson showed some incredible tackle-breaking abilities. Ran over Ray Lewis en route to his only rushing TD. Taylor did better than it looked. He had some plays where he tried to bounce to the outside, not really running backwards. But he got caught behind the line of scrimmage.

Should also mention that DT Trevor Pryce did not play in this game.
