Re: New Lions Dyansty
OK guys so i came home last night and wasnt tired AT ALL so i decided to pull an all nighter since i didnt hv anything goen on the next morning and i played thru week 6. Oh and i fixed the jason witten thing bc whenever i thought about it i felt like the game was getting less and less fun, and when i fixed it the game is much more enjoyable and realistic. OK so i played the Green bay packers at my own Ford Field in week 2. Here's what went down.
Week 2 vs Green Bay Packers September 14 2008 Offense J Johnson 19/29, 250yds 0td 1int, 5rush 14yds; D McFadden 24rush 116yds 1td; C Johnson 6rec 80yds Defense E Sims 7tck 1sck 1FF; C Campbell 7tck 2sacks; P Lenon 5tck 1sack 1FR; A Haynesworth 4tck 1sack Special A Serna 5/6 FG (45,30,54,41,25) Scoring 1st Quarter Alexis Serna 45yd FG; 3-0 2nd Quarter Alexis Serna 30yd FG; 6-0 Dante Culpepper 1yd run TD, Mason Crosby XP good; 6-7 Mason Crosby 34yd FG; 6-10 3rd Quarter Alexis Serna 54yd FG; 9-10 Darren McFadden 1yd run TD, 2pt conv. failed; 15-10 4th Quarter Alexis Serna 41yd FG; 18-10 Alexis Serna 25yd FG; 21-10 Final Score Detroit 21 Green Bay 10 Notables 384 total offensive yds (157r,227p) 215yds allowed (130r,85p) 19 1st downs +1 turnover difference 5-12 3rd down 1-5 Red zone (1td 2FG) 3penalties for 23yds 41:13 TOP Roy Williams broken arm, out 4-6 weeks Darren McFadden had a MUCHH better game running the ball then his debut, running for 116yds on 24 carries with a TD from the 1yd line. Rookie Calais Campbell also recorded his first 2 career sacks. Also, Alexis Serna played very well going 5/6 on FG, missing wide left on a 47 yarder. It was a solid game all around, and we can only get better. |

Re: New Lions Dyansty
On to week 3 at San Fran. I wasnt worried about this game going into it, and there was no reason to be. heres what went down
Week 3 @ San Francisco 49ers September 21 2008 4:05PM Offense J Johnson 17/34 241yds 1td 2int, 5rush 63yds; C Johnson 7rec 76yds; H Douglas 2rec 54yds 1td Defense C Campbell 9sacks; E Sims 10tck 2sacks 1int 1td; K Phillips 7tck 1int; A Haynesworth 4tck 1sack; K Hamlin 5tck 1FF 1FR Special A Serna 3/5 FG (27,35,52) 2/2 XP Scoring 1st Quarter No scoring 2nd Quarter Alexis Serna 27yd FG; 3-0 Joe Nedney 25yd FG; 3-3 Ernie Sims interception returned 63yds for TD, Alexis Serna XP good; 10-3 3rd Quarter Alexis Serna 35yd FG; 13-3 Harry Douglas 49yd TD pass from Josh Johnson, Alexis Serna XP good; 20-3 Joe Nedney 38yd FG; 20-6 4th Quarter Alexis Serna 52yd FG; 23-6 Joe Nedney 39yd FG; 23-9 Final Score Detroit 23 San Fran 9 Notables 317 total offense yds (94r,223p) 221yds allowed (7r,214p) 16 1st downs +1 turnover difference 5-12 3rd down 0-2 Red zone (2 FG) 0 penalties 27:38 TOP Darren McFadden left game in 2nd quarter with triceps strain, out 1-3 weeks; 8rush 10yds prior Story of the night here was the record breaking play of rookie defensive end Calais Campbell, recording 9 SACKS!! It was amazing to watch this young guy go to work, especially the clutch sacks in the 2nd half to put the 9ers away. Harry Douglas also had another huge play, coming up with a 49 yard catch and run in the 3rd quarter. Alexis Serna also had another solid outing, although he missed from 57 and 55 yards out. My run game is really gonna suffer now bc McFadden left in the 2nd quarter and never retruned. I later learned he would be out 1-3 weeks with a triceps strain :O. I have a bye for week 4 so we'll see if he can recover by my next game, but if not ill start either rookie Ryan Torain or Brian Calhoun. |

Re: New Lions Dyansty
I do the TE/FB cheat just to get certain TE's off teams that they aren't on anymore. Normally I try to trade them to the team that they're actually on. Like normally I can trade Tony Gonzalez to the Falcons & Winslow to the Bucs. |

Re: New Lions Dyansty
So i had a bye in week 4, but McFadden was not able to return from injury, still about 5-8 days away. Also, Torain got injured during the bye and he will be out another week, so it looks like Calhoun gets the start. Here's what went down.
Week 5 vs Chicago Bears October 5th 2008 Offense J Johnson 22/35 252yds 3td 2int, 9rush 51yds; C Johnson 8rec 103yds; S McDonald 6rec 71yds 2td; J Finley 2rec 17yds 1td; Brian Calhoun 8rush 8yds Defense P Lenon 9tck 1sack; A Samuel 3tck 1int; C Campbell 3tck 2sacks: C Redding 6tck 1sack Special A Serna 2/2 FG (46,35) 3/3 XP Scoring 1st Quarter Alexis Serna 46yd FG; 3-0 2nd Quarter Ray Rice 18yd TD run, Robbie Gould XP good; 3-7 Robbie Gould 21yd FG; 3-10 Robbie Gould 37yd FG; 3-13 JerMichael Finley 3yd TD catch from Josh Johnson, Alexis Serna XP good; 10-13 3rd Quarter Alexis Serna 35yd FG; 13-13 4th Quarter Shaun McDonald 8yd TD catch from Josh Johnson, Alexis Serna XP good; 20-13 Shaun McDonald 10yd TD catch from Josh Johnson, Alexis Serna XP good; 27-13 Brent Swann 3yd TD catch from Jacob Lorenzen, Robbie Gould XP good; 27-20 Final Score Detroit 27 Chicago 20 Notables 324 total offensive yds (86r,238p) 233yds allowed (57r,176p) 19 1st downs -1 turnover difference 3-8 3rd down 1-1 4th down 3-4 Red zone (3td, 1FG) 1penalty 7yds 29:37 TOP Story of the night was the stellar play of rookie QB Josh Johnson throwing 2 of his 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to put the Chicago Bears away for good. He did throw 2 interceptions (both in the first quarter) but made a huge comeback and played great, throwing a touchdown to rookie TE jermichael Finley and 2 to roy william's replacement, Shaun McDonald. Brian Calhoun, who started for Mcfadden bc of his injury, was a non factor racking up 8 yds on 8 carries. Another game, another win. Mcfadden returns from injury next week, so i hope he can return to his stellar week 2 play. |

Re: New Lions Dyansty
Mcfadden returned to practice this week, and 2/3 gameplans were run based to help him out. I played the Minnesota Vikes, lets see what went down.
Week 6 @ Minnesota Vikings October 12th 2008 Offense J Johnson 21/30 322yds 3td 2int, 7rush 37yds; D McFadden 18rush 99yds 1td, 1/1 4yds 1td; C Johnson 9rec 110yds; S McDonald 8rec 162yds 3td; H Douglas 2rec 21yds 1td, 2rush 20yds Defense C Campbell 7tck 4sacks; A Haynesworth 6tck 1sack; P Lenon 5tck 2sacks Special A Sernas 5/5 XP Scoring 1st Quarter Ryan Longwell 36yd FG; 0-3 Ryan Longwell 34yd FG; 0-6 2nd Quarter Shaun McDonald 58yd TD catch from Josh Johnson, Serna XP good; 7-6 Harry Douglas 17yd TD catch from Josh Johnson, Serna XP good; 14-6 C. Tatum intercepts a pass for a TD, Ryan Longwell XP good; 14-13 3rd Quarter Shaun McDonald 4yd TD catch from Darren McFadden, Sernas XP good; 21-13 Darren McFadden 7yd TD run, Sernas XP good; 28-13 4th Quarter Sidney Rice 10yd TD catch from Tarvaris Jackson, 2pt Conv. failed; 28-19 Shaun McDonald 16yd TD catch from Josh Johnson, Sernas XP good; 35-19 Final Score Detroit 35 Minnesota 19 Notables 491 total offensive yds (172r,319p) 222yds allowed (54r,168p) 21 1st downs -3 turnover difference 5-9 3rd down 1-1 4th down 4-5 Red zone (4td) 4penalties 52yds 28:45 TOP Injuries TE J Finley Broken hand out 1-3 weeks Stellar play from a few individuals. First off, the retrun of McFadden went very well, as he racked up nearly 100 rush yds and a score AND threw a td to Shaun McDonald in the back of the end zone. Shaun McDonald also had a huge game, racking up 162 recieving yards and 3 SCORES! Josh johnson recorded his first career 300+ yd game as well, although he has yet to have an interception-free game. On the defensive side of the ball, Campbell continues his streak of sacks, recording 4. He now has 17 sacks!! this guy is a pure beast and cannot be stopped, even with a double team. Unfortunately, rookie Jermichael Finley broke his hand and will be out for the next few weeks, so Jeb Putzier (i think thats his name?) will get the start. Roy Williams returns from injury next week, and he'll be my #3 guy behind McDonald since MickyD has been playing to great to just go back to #3, but ill give Roy a chance to win it back in the next few weeks. Have the lions ever gone 5-0 since the days of Barry Sanders?? Well they have now ...I plan on playin my next game 2nite or 2mrw so ill let the forum know whats goen down w/ my dynasty. |
