This team is set for years to come. With stars like Josh Johnson, Calais Campbell, Darren McFadden, and Harry Douglas my team is gonna be thriving for a long time. One of those stars, Douglas, sealed the game with a huge 71yd touchdown run in the 4th to seal the win, breaking 2 tackles in the process. McFadden also had a great night. Well looks like we get the first round bye and home field advantage. In the next post ill put up the playoff picture, season stats, and yearly award winners.

Re: New Lions Dyansty

Playoff Picture

AFC North Winner - Cincinnati Bengals 7-9
AFC South Winner - Indianapolis Colts 13-3 (1st rd. bye)
AFC East Winner - New England Patriots 11-5 (1st rd. bye)
AFC West Winner - San Diego Chargers 11-5
AFC Wild Cards - Kansas City Chiefs 10-6 (West) Tennessee Titans 11-5 (South)

NFC North Winner - Detroit Lions 14-2 (1st rd. bye)
NFC South Winner - New Orleans Saints 12-4
NFC East Winner - Philadelphia Eagles 14-2 (1st rd. bye)
NFC West Winner - Seattle Seahawks 13-3
NFC Wild Cards - Dallas Cowboys 11-5 (East) Tampa Bay Buccaneers 12-4 (South)

NFC playoff picture obviously much stronger than the AFC. The only team with a losing record in the playoffs, the Bengals, are by far the underdogs this year and in the worst division the NFL has. Meanwhile, the NFC playoff picture's worst record is the Dallas Cowboys at 11-5. Tough road ahead from here, even with a first round bye.

I could not of asked my defense to step up any better than what they did, especially in the 4th quarter. My offense just could not get into the end zone, settling for field goal after field goal. But once again, Tony Romo screws up in the playoffs in a drastic way, throwing 3 interceptions in the 4th quarter (5 overall), 2 of which were returned for touchdowns and sealed the win for my Lions. The only offense we could generate was with Josh Johnson's legs, as he ran for 99yds on 14carries. We move on to the NFC Championship game, where we'll take on the New Orleans Saints who upset the Philly Eagles this week.

Darren McFadden left game in 2nd quarter with arm injury, did not
return (8rush 7yds 1td, 1rec 7yds previous)
JerMichael Finley left game in 4th quarter with arm injury, did not
return (8rec 159yds 3td previous)

Wow. Thats all I can say. Even though my pass defense let Drew Brees absolutely destroy them (over 500yds passing and 4td) we still somehow came away with a victory. Wow. Neither team could run the ball, mostly because Darren McFadden left the game with an arm injury in the 2nd quarter and never returned (but he recorded his first career reception YAY) Anyway, it was an offensive game through and through, as the star of the game JerMichael Finley absolutely went off, starting with a 72 yd TD catch from Josh Johnson where he really showed how fast he can be, out running 4 different defenders. Harry Douglas also had a huge play, returning a kick 99yds for a score and bringing us within 3 in the 2nd quarter. Hopefully I'll have McFadden and Finley back for the Super Bowl, where I take on one of the 2 teams I lost to this year, the Indianapolis Colts! This is definetly going to be a huge game and I just can't wait.
