Due to the fact that it is a holiday week and i have no life at the moment I have had this game playing in my system for virtually 3 days straight. I had it lock up once on a load screen but honestly i expect most any game would lock up on me with that much playtime. All of my old saves worked flawlessly.

Im not sure if its worth the 15 bucks to upgrade because it was a while ago since i played from disc. But if you play the game enough and are having any problems at all id say do it because the download version is very fluid compared to what i remember.

If you guys can find a used copy at GameStop, that would be a better bet & deal.

NFL Head Coach 09 goes for $5.99 used and is slightly cheaper if you have a Power Up Rewards Pro card with its discount on used games. And if you can find the Madden NFL 09 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition, that goes for $12.99 used. Both are cheaper than the $15 digital download.

Don't get me wrong. $15 is a decent price, but definitely try to go the disc route if you can find it to get more bang for your buck.

the benefit for ps3 users is that it runs so much smoother from the hard drive.

Man, I think I'm going to have to pony up and get this. I really like this game but like others said, it was tough sledding on the PS3.

For those that are saying they play the game off the HDD, how do you do that? I didn't think that was possible on the PS3.

to play it off of the hard drive, you purchase the digital download off of psn for $15 and it runs much better. you cannot to the best of my knowledge transfer it from disk to hard drive.
