Dante Griffey Draft (2017 English)
Overall, a decent class talent wise, but not a lot of elite talent.
All philosophies are balanced or 3-4/Man Coverage.
QBs
Stevens of Wake Forest (95) is the best but a top pick.
Ohio State and minnesota should be avoided.
Sampson of Colorado (89) is a mid rounder.
Ga. SOuthern is the only other draftable QB (91).
HBs
The headliner Griffin of Texas is worth a top 3, but he'll likely go there (96).
If you can't get him go after Lyons of Washington (89) or Clayton of LSU (88) in the mid-first.
Witherspoon of Duquesne is a good mid round pickup (88).
WRs
There are 2 elite wideouts in this class, Winn of UCLA (94) and Acy of UNLV (94). Winn is bigger at 6'3", and Acy projects as a perfect slot guy at 5'9". Acy is slightly more athletic and will go a few picks later then Winn. Lake of Mizzou (90) is pretty good, but will go before Acy (likely). No sleepers to speak of. No TEs standout.
OL
LT
Palmer of A&M is the Elite lineman is this class (94) and has Elite size (6'8" 337. His runblocking could be better but is good. Estern Michigan (89) and Appalachian State (91) are good mid round pickups. EMU starts off much better.
LG
Cox of Lambuth (91) is the only LG worth picking up.
C
No standout Centers, but Northern Iowa (??) is worth looking at.
RG
None standout.
RT
Both top RTs are potential busts.
LE
Durden of Penn St. (88) is a truck. He would likely be a very good 4-3 DT. VMI (?? Ellis) is worth a look as an undersized guy (6'1" 250)
RE
Jackson of Illinois (90) is an athletic freak (91 spd, 92 accel, 90 Fmv) would be a great blindside rusher in a 4-3 scheme, but can still play well in 3-4. Draft him! He is the elite Dlineman in this class.
DT
Leon Martin of Penn State (84) is a better fit in 4-3. Only draft him if you need one gap DTs. He is severly undersized (6', 240!) but is a great pass rusher. He also has the best FMV I have seen for a DT at 85. Stratton of Virginia (87) is also a better fit in a 4-3, but can play 3-4 end. Murray State (Stroud), and Akron (88) are interesting late rounders
LOLB
No standouts.
MLB
Hennings of Texas is undersized and a better 4-3 player (88) and will never get hurt.
ROLB
Allen of Oregon (90) is basically Mister Wright. He is the best LB is the class.
CB
Blair of BYU (89) is the fastest guy around and a threat, while Baskin (91) is also quick but undersized. either can press. Air Force is a guy to look at (Clements). He has 99 speed and is pretty strong for a CB (61). Ga. Southern (86) is a Cover 2 guy who is a late round guy. Morris Brown (Bailey) is a late round guy, but his age (25) will hurt him after 2 or so contracts.
FS
Dixon of Virginia (90) is the guy out of the DBs in this class. He also has the driven trait. Harvard (Dawkins) is a sleeper.
SS
Gill of ULCA (Harrison) is a better run supporter, but very raw (76 Phys, 62 Int). Griffith of Colorado (Sharper) is a bad fit for my scheme (84), but should excel is Cover 2. Buffalo (Sharper) is a sleeper pick.
K/P
New Hampshire (97) KPW is my guy for Kicker, while Rob Morris (96 KPW, 86 KAc) would be the Punter.
Overall, well dispersed talent through out, save for the LBs and OLine except for a few guys.
