I have to say my favorite part is the process is developing a philosophy and sticking to it. It causes for the game to have unlimited replay value.

I say everything both of you mentioned and just the fact that the game is so deep it doesn't matter how much you play it you always learn something new about it.

I love many things about the game, but draft day is by far my favorite.

going into the draft needing playmakers at, let's say, 3 positions, and depth at 3 more, and coming out of the draft having filled all 6 positions with starter-caliber players AND maybe picking up a surprise or 2 as well.

After playing a lot more now, I have to agree with you that off season and draft is it. I originally said creating plays but now it definitely is off season and draft.

Definitelly the draft...
On a personal note, I love that all the great created players exist here the same as in Madden10(which is my all time fav), although a bit altered in appearance & (in WR's case) size...

The work done in "profiling" future players, upgrades them into "unique entities", rather than simple clone genereted players...
It's just awesome that, someone that has never played the game, can see in this forum, discussions about "fictional" players, as if they were real...
Also its cool that players like Alex Hurst & Juran Riley carry over from NFLHC06 (which was also awesome for its time & fun still to play)..
