Finally! a blocked punt

i have never blocked a fg either. i have heard that using fg block vs punt would increase chances to block it. i will try that as well. has anyone had one of their own punts blocked by the computer AI?

Never had any kick, FG or Punt blocked by CPU.

Like most of you I have only blocked punts right in front of my end zone. I always feel like I come close on blocking field goals but still have not been successful. I created a play, very similar to FG block but instead of having the two players in the middle behind the rest of the guys, I made one solid line. To try and gain knowledge on some of the special plays, I always select one for the extra point when my opponent scores a TD. Knowledge still has not gone to learned, maybe half way there so 1/4 total knowledge on a play, but eventually the plays might be learned and more successful.

I had one. I backed up their punter into the endzone and unleashed the punt block. The 10 guys overwhelmed their punt protectors (unleash the beef!) and pushed them into the kick. However, the only reason this worked is because they had to punt from the 1, so their punter was closer than usual to their protectors.

In normal circumstances, I've never blocked a kick or a punt.

I just recently had a blocked FG. Keith Rivers somehow got around and blocked the FG. It was on auto, so I guess he just got lucky.

never blocked anything,never had anything blocked. I've given up on that ever happening. LOL

I've never blocked a punt or retruned one for a touchdown. I have come close once on returning a punt.

I was thinking of creating a play on defense to block a punt. I noticed once when I thought a team was going to go for it me picking a defensive play the right cornerback automatically goes back to field it.

Must be something in the water! I blocked my first punt tonight!

I've played 20 seasons so that's somewhere around 400 games played, not counting a few sim or super sim in preseason. I had one blocked against me my first season but at the time I didn't know that was unusual!

I wasn't even trying to block it, I had a return on. D. J. Williams, my #2 MLB, was lined up in the gap between their right guard and right tackle. The guard blocked left and the tackle blocked right and DJ blocked the punt and then recovered on the two yard line! I guess the line of scrimmage was somewhere around the 20.
