Re: From Falcon to Phoenix: A Jeff Roman Dysnasty

Good lookin team, can't wait to see what u do moving forward...

Btw, once Turner learns the offense he will be a strong presence...

Also I know it sucks that players are underrated that should be studs, but I will still play it anyways though...

Post Game Review

"6 Times," Coach Roman said as he paced the locker room. "Six times you let them in to the endzone this game. 6 times. Think about that. 500 yards passing against us. Thee numbers are not acceptable, gentleman. I don't want to hear excuses. We all saw something bad out there today. Let's not sugarcoat it. We're going to keep this in a special place in our heads these next few weeks. Next time you want to quit or you want to slack off or next time you realize you aren't giving it 100%, remember this game. Because if you don't pick things up, we are just going to have to get used to this. I'll see you all at practice."

The game was over from the beginning, being 41-14 at the start of the third quarter. The secondary was torched. Our weakest position was taken advantage of by Dungy. He knew how to beat us. We held the running game to under a 2.2 average, but that didn't mean much against the 500 yards passed on us.

There were some good thing to take out of this game though. Although it had to be stopped early due to the 17-0 point spread in the second quarter, the running game looked manageable. A definite improvement over the previous week. Our receiving corp showed up too late, but when they did they shined on that field. Maybe by the regular season we can start off like that.

The Quarterback. To say one guy had a rough day and the other had a good one would be an understatement. Rodgers missed on 8 of his first 10 passes, finishing that streak with an interception. After that spell, however, he did recover and have two solid drives.

Rookie Josh Johnson had a rough start too. He made only one of his first 7 passes. After that though, he gained momentum that ended up getting us 24 points in the second half. He worked well with the guys out there, making the throws that were needed to be made in this kind of deficit, one of them being a 52 yard TD pass to fellow rookie Desean Jackson.

This third game will be interesting. There is still much uncertainty with the team. It isn't too late to try to add new pieces to fix our pass defense. Coach Roman will definitely be doing everything he can to never let 50 points be scored against him again

Post Game Review

Coach Roman came into the locker room holding a football. "I went to Coach Fisher," he said "and asked him if I could have the game ball." He tossed it a few times, looked around, then rolled it to Alexis Serna. "Congratulations to the only player that scored any points this game. Not again gentleman. We can't give up big plays. We can't turn the ball over. We can not let them think we are a team to bully with. We have talent on this team. But we need to execute. We need to work together. We need to get rid of these simple mistakes. Let's show the league we aren't the pushovers we've looked like these last two games. I'll see you all at practice."

A second disappointing game to say the least. The Titans' running game destroyed us, especially with Vince Young's feet. Quarterback play only got worse as the game went on. Rodgers got us to the redzone twice but it only resulted in two field goals. The running game was nonexistent. Too many three and outs were what started our deficit and we never got out of it.

Coach Roman has been searching for a corner to trade for but it seems that it's a weakness we're just going to have to deal with until the next off season. Michael Boley has done great as the MLB and rookie Calais Campbell has been effective on the outside too. He may end up being the first rookie starter this season.

Post Game Review

This game was needed. Up until the last 5 minutes we had a three score lead, but a punt return sparked hope for Baltimore. There wasn't enough time though, the game was decided.

Aaron Rodgers will be the guy right now. He has proven more than Johnson that he can be reliable right now, although he lacks much of the play making ability that will eventually be needed. Coach Roman's first season is about to start and I'll be posting the complete Week 1 roster shortly.

Game Recap

It was over the first play. Michael Boley ran up the middle on a pass play and crushed Jon Kitna and knocked him out of the game. Backup quarterback Jared Lorenzen never had a chance. The Lions' first score was in the last minute of play. They were shut out in every way for a great start to the season in Atlanta.

We made an impact. Coach Roman proved to the NFL that he's going to be changing things.

Aaron Rodgers was a stud. He has already proven that not only would he have been the right heir to Favre, but that Atlanta got him for a steal. Even with the lack of potential using his feet, he's fared well this first game, in every way guaranteeing he will be the starter this season.

Michael Turner really showed what he had going this game. He and McFadden make a killer duo that will be extremely effective in the wishbone formation. TE Mike Peterson has done well at the fullback position too. We plan on keeping him there.

There isn't much to say about the receivers. They're the group of players we picked up so we could use them like this. Gonzalez has proven to be useful after that trade and Roddy White is just Roddy White.

The defense did amazingly well. Even as a substitute rookie Gooden found a way to be the team's biggest contributor. Our linebacker corps is strong and their speed into the backfield will help our weak corner position.

1-0. We couldn't have made a bigger entrance.

Not much can be said about this game that wasn't on the field, but one thing is for sure: People are buying in

Game Recap

An interesting game. Only against KC can the opposing team throw for over 400 yards and lose. The lack of CB strength in the game was shown this game, but luckily by making teams one dimensional with our tough front seven we can still hold them.

While not perfect, another great game. 3-0 and people are believing.
