This is basically the roster I inherited. I managed to bring some guys in to help the team immediately (Danieal Manning, Anthony Mix) and some guys who might develop into good players in the future (Tony Bake, Hank Smithers).
Strengths:
- Offensive Line
- Special Teams
- Nose Tackle
Weaknesses:
- Overall Talent
- Defensive Backfield
- RB depth
- Inside Linebacker
- Wide Receiver
Season Outlook:
The 2008 season is supposed to be a rebuilding season for the Dolphins. We have bad supporting staff (Coordinators, Coaches, Trainer) and the players have to learn new playbooks on offense and defense. Coming off a 1-15 season, the overall talent base is not very good. The offense should be fine in a year or two (as I know the system and what players I need for it to work) but I have no idea if this 3-4 defense works out well for me...
When Ronnie Brown comes back from his injury, I hope we'll be able to run over some of the worse teams but at this point I don't see this team winning a lot of games this season. But as I said, 2008 is a rebuilding season. If I can win enough games to keep my job, I'm fairly optimistic I can turn this franchise around.
