Unhappy Missing zero plays???

From time to time I'll have a player get hurt and he won't be back when I expected, based the injury message. When I go to the NFL Injury Report it says he'll be out 0 plays.

Last night it nearly cost me a playoff game.

Is there anything I can do?

I tried to sub in using the square button during the play calling sequence.
I tried the Health and Fatigue Report.
I tried fiddling with the depth chart.

To date I've just treated it like it was supposed to be that way and rolled with it but last night it was my QB and I really wanted to get him back in the game.

Re: Missing zero plays???

Usually means your trainer is terrible at diagnosing the issue. Thats why it says 0 plays but really he's gonna be out a quarter or two, if not the whole game.

Check your trainers diagnosis skill level I think it is. Could also be related to recovery, maybe a level 5 trainer can get them back on the field the next play but a 3 needs a quarter...

Re: Missing zero plays???

I just happened across an alternative answer from back in 2009.

I set it back to "heavy" and I haven't had that problem since.

Re: Missing zero plays???

Those are both great theories.

I don't think it was a trainer problem this time. That trainer was a 99, he had everything but the ultimate special skill.

I need to think about the philosophy setting. I routinely set my injury replacement philosophy to moderate. This particular QB had a health of 78% pretty much all year. During the regular season he had missed only one half "pending evaluation" but I don't recall any short injuries. The injury that prompted this post was initially an "Eye Poke for 3 plays" .

If this is right, anytime I have a player I intend to play with less than 80% health I need that injury philosophy to be heavy. And hope I don't get him killed!

Re: Missing zero plays???

A variation on the theme, I hadn't seen this before.

Player gets an injury for 1-2 plays and he doesn't return and the number of plays he will be out never goes down. His overall health was 80% but the leg that was hurt was 62%. Injury philosophy for that position was moderate.
