Two Questions

1) Have you ever noticed that on the status tab for rookies during training camp there are different messages about where this guy will fit. You know: Average Player, Solid Backup, etc. This is even if all the individual ratings including OVL are unknown.

Trouble is, I couldn't find any correlation between the messages and how the rookies turned out.

2) Do teams ever offer you a trade if your roster is full?

Regarding trade offers, I don't recall ever getting a trade offer when I had a full roster. In fact for a while, I adopted the policy of releasing one extra player after each "cut day" in order to encourage trades, and I planned a 52 man roster for the regular season.

Then I noticed that the trade offers I got were for marginal players, backups who might not have any impact. The CPU never seems to initiate trades of starter-quallity players.

And now I only trade once or twice a year just to prevent unrealistically stacking the roster. (Currently I have 7 starters under 80 OVR in my second season with a record of 2-4, but tied for 2nd in the AFC West.)
