I find if you want to make sure someone gets picked as high as they should, skip their pro day but bring them in for an individual workout. I like to bring in my personal opinion of the top 10(talent, not based on need per team) and it usually works out. Its especially important when there are several "good talents" at a position to just pick the best one.

I try to pick 10 different positions if possible with those individual workouts. Sometimes, theres just 2 rbs or qbs, etc that deserve to be brought in. It seems to help stop teams from taking busts in the top 10(unless their gm sucks). That and going to the schools with sleeper talent when you do pro days.
