I've been trying to make my own roster, but I'm hitting a snag.. I'm changing USR-DATA to USR-DATA.mc02, but when I try opening it in EA DB Editor, it's telling me that it's not an MC02 or DB file...

hmmm ... my guess would be that the file isnt actually decrypted.

If you are using PS3 / Bruteforce make sure the file turns green within the Bruteforce menu before renaming with .mc02

It decrypted and turned green... I don't know. I'm not bad with computers, but a lot of what you're doing is beyond me. My hat is off to you for being able to figure out/do this stuff.

If you read the threads about editing Madden 25 rosters, you'll find that quite a few people had the same problem as you. Some of them figured out what to change in their system to get the Madden roster editor to recognize the decrypted fie, but many did not. I have had the same thing happen to me, no matter what I do. I'm running Windows on a Mac using emulation software, so I figure it's not worth spending weeks trying to get things to work (after having spent days).

What would make me change my mind, though, is the possibility of converting a HC09 roster to a Madden 25 roster. All those players at the end of a career who you never get to see develop in HC09 -- would be a blast to progress them using XP in Madden 25.
