QBR Stat
I have always suspected it was true, but now I have proof that the QB Rating stat is the single most useless individual stat in all of sports. I just started a Raiders career with the challenge of turning Jamarcus Russell into a real QB (because I'm, you know, stupid). Second preseason game and Russell is sucking like a Hoover. Then, all of a sudden he uncorks a wobbly pass that Mario Manningham somehow caught before going 74 yards for the TD. For Manningham it was a thing of beauty. For Russell, not so much. I reach halftime and I'm stunned to see the follow stats for Russell: 1/5, 74 yds, 1 TD, 118.8 QBR! Are you kidding me? One lucky pass after 4 wounded duck incompletions and he ends up near a 120 QBR? Useless. Completely useless.
