Custom playbooks question

Is using a custom playbook kinda cheating?

Not in my eyes since the game asks you to make plays all the time throughout a career, thus making a custom playbook.


In my opinion, I've found that the basic plays in the game often work a lot better than any of the plays that I put in there because of the limitations of the system. Your custom plays are limited in that you can't make on the fly adjustments to them... Something as easy as flipping the play, as an example, can't be done. Huge handicap.


And, unless I missed something, you can't build a book from the ground up, so you're somewhat limited in just how "custom" you want to make your books (if I've missed something about this, please do share).
