Re: Dallas Cowboys War Room

So far so good with Dak. He's played amazing through the 1st 2 games. He just looks like a QB now with complete control of this offense unlike years past. He is spreading the ball around to numerous different receivers. He's checking off when needed to the right plays. I've not seen this type of Dak in his 1st 3 years. He seems to have grown leaps & bounds from just last season.

I'm not worried about the offense for this 2019 team. It's the defense that's showing signs of lack. Byron Jones hasn't played up to his Pro Bowl ability through the 1st 2 games. The LB's are all playing well but the DL isn't getting enough pressure on the QB. Xavier Woods has looked really solid in the secondary despite dropping an INT right in his hands today.

I would have thought our offense was going to be improved in 2019 but not the strength of this team. I would have predicted the defense would have been the strength. They still could end up being the strength of this team but after 2 games I just don't see it. We aren't getting off the field on 3rd down with the defense. That seems to be the biggest problem.

I really believe we have the ability to score points on any defense in the NFL with weapons all over the field. Dak will be the key & has been the key. He reads the defense well & makes the right calls & this offense can't be stopped. We would have to stop ourselves in my opinion.

Zeke looked good in getting 23 carries this week & over 100 yards. Witten is being used the exact way we should be with him coming back. Short passes with alignments on offense to trick the defense into thinking he's just going to block & not be a part of the play. However, he also showed that the old man can still do it down the field as well with an 18 yard reception.

Kellen Moore is getting a ton of credit for the offensive explosion (rightfully so) but I don’t think Jon Kitna is getting enough credit for Dak’s development. Miami shouldn’t be much of a test but the 4 games after that are tough. For right now, Dak is ballin! Hope he keeps it up!

There's no doubt in my mind that Kellen Moore is the big difference. Garrett is out of the way on the playcalling now. JJ & Steven let that be known to Garret to allow Moore to do his thing & he has changed this offense into more of a balanced gameplan & also allowing Dak more freedom. I also agree that Kitna is playing a solid role in Dak's development as well.

I say trade him for a future draft pick or possibly a special teams player or a role type fill in player. Charlton has disappointed since we drafted him in the 1st Round in 2017.

It's hard to trade a guy everyone knows wants to be free.
Especially a first rounder, who has not shown he can be a
reliable player. What would acceptable compensation be?

Might just have to cut bait. With all the injuries they have,
you cant waste a slot on the roster for Tacos..

Re: Dallas Cowboys War Room

Dak started slow yesterday but was spot on the entire 2nd half. I'm amazed at the control that he has over this offense. He knows exactly where to go with the ball & is making the correct decisions. His accuracy throwing the ball is shocking to me.

I knew Dak could be a solid QB for us but his development so far this season is simply amazing to me. I think Kellen Moore & Jon Kitna deserve a lot of credit in his development. GO COWBOYS!

This was for the most part another preseason game. The real test for our team will be over the next 4 weeks leading in to the bye week. Saints, Packers, and Eagles will all be tough games, with the Jets sprinkled in there.

I really like that they haven’t had to over use Zeke the first quarter of the season. With Pollard showing something this is really going to keep Zeke fresh for the playoffs.
