Well, preseason game #2 the Bengals didn't look so hot. I only watched the first quarter.

First offensive drive was a 3 and out. First defensive series Brees peppered the field with short passes that the Bengals never even came close to stopping. 2nd offensive drive, Rudi looked good, moved the ball well, but as with last week, couldn't finish off the drive with a touchdown.

Dunno much about the rest of the game......but since its only preseason, I'm not one too get to worried about it.

I didn't watch much of the game. From reading Mark Curnutte's take on it, it sounded pretty ugly on the offense-side of things. Defense played well for the most part, at least as far as getting some turnovers. Hopefully they can improve a little next week against the Falcons. I don't put a ton of stock in preseason games. The Colts are normally horrible in preseason and they are great in the regular season.

My son and I actually went to the game and let's just say the Bengals were not very impressive. The Saints moved the ball at will against the Bengals starting Defense. Brees, Duece and Bush were clicking on all cylinders. Palmers throws/timing to recievers were off. Grant it is the preseason but the Saints were in rare form. Peace!!!

Don't feel too bad, guys. Our first team offense was just clicking on that opening drive... when we are, it's hard for any defense to really stop us. I was still impressed with Leon Hall & Madeiu Williams, though. Not to mention Jonathan Joseph wasn't playing.

My thoughts exactly when the Saints are rolling no one stops them, much less the Bengals D.

You know what the scary thing about this game was? Several people that watched a lot of the game told me that the offensive gameplan the Saints had looked similar to the way the Colts beat the Bengals last season - dump passes underneath, etc. If other teams use that gameplan when playing the Bengals, and have the right personnel to execute it properly, the Bengals will be in a world of hurt unless they make some adjustments and learn how to defend it.

As much as it pains me to say it I think we are looking at another 8-8 season.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if we struggle very badly this season. I just don't feel comfortable with the defense at all and if our offensive linemen keep going down to injuries, I think we will be in some serious trouble.
