I agree- he's a great fit for the Tampa 2. Detroit needs to rebuild their front 7 now and Mayo would be a great first step.

I don't think he fits well into the 3-4 at all, he's very undersized for the 3-4 ILB position.

Re: 2007 Jets

Word is Thomas Jones looks rejuvenated with the revamped OL. Hope it carries over into the regular season.

Our WRs corp frightens me more than our QB situation. Who's our 3rd WR? That TE we drafted better be ready to play.

Sounds like Chad is winning the QB competition so far. Clemens is playing pretty bad, he's thrown at least one interception in every practice so far. Doesn't sound like Chad has done anything to really stand out, but he hasn't played poorly either.

Re: 2007 Jets

I think Clemens is terrible and I was a bit miffed that the Jets didn't go after Brohm in the draft.

I'm hoping Chad continues to create separation from Clemens if only to see a very vocal part of the fan base squirm The day Chad gets named the QB again will be great from a comedic perspective, if nothing else.

I'm almost 100% certain Chad didn't recover from the high ankle sprain until late last year. The benching was really the only opportunity to heal up. He made throws in the New England and Tennessee games that just weren't there after the ankle injury vs. the Pats. The McCareins dropped TD in the end-zone against New England was a prettier pass than anything Brady threw that day. Chad was great in the two games he played at the end of the year last season against New England and Tennessee.

Absolutely. As a Packer fan I am sorry to see Favre come your way. Chad played smart and took care of the football. Favre, not so much. His receivers bailed him out a lot last year. Nothing aginist the Jets but they don't have the talent at WR that the Packers have. That is going to spell trouble for Favre. He sucked in 05 and 06 while the younger Packer receivers got experience. At this point I don't see Favre having a great year with the Jets. To be honest I didn't think he would have another season like last year if he would have stayed with the Packers. I am glad to see him move on. Again,I am sorry to see him head to a city I love so much. New York Jet fans deserve better.

Good luck Jet fans!!!!

Re: 2007 Jets

I got tickets to the game this weekend. Pretty much the only time I'd ever consider going to see a preseason game, pus I got them for free.
