Sounds like it- there are about two WR in the NFL that I'd give up Coles for, none Moss. He makes all the catches. Now with a legitimate running game, this offense is going to open up.

People forget that Chad had to constantly throw against defenses that could overplay the pass. This year will be different. I'm amped already for football season and the draft hasn't come yet Three picks in the first two rounds is pretty sweet

Re: Jets offseason thread

Didn't want to start a new thread as the regular season hasn't started yet.

Jets looked good Friday night.

The reserves played extremely well. Looks like we'll have alot of depth this year (thankfully).

Leon Washington seems to be our 'all-purpose' back. Played great and is still suprising people despite his play last year.

Clemens looked good. Put up good numbers against the Falcons 2nd and 3rd stringers. Brad Smith didn't look good behind center despite the great camp I'm hearing he's having.

Revis' agent and Tannenbaum need to just come to a damn conclusion. No way is this kid not signed with only Jamarcus Russell unsigned. The starters gave up some big 3rd down completions.

Good game and oh yeah...Chad didn't get hurt.

Re: Jets offseason thread

Tannenbaum has to give in and get Revis into camp. Supposedly the big issue is Revis wants 5 years, Jets want to give him 6.

I don't know why that's a big enough issue to have him miss at least half of training camp.

Chad was dominating Friday night.

Clemens looked ok. Nowhere near his stats. That deep pass to McCareins looked like a punt and he underthrew a lot of other balls too. But he did look a lot more comfortable and confident than last preseason and I think the ball might have just slipped out of his hands a few times.

Re: Jets offseason thread

Thomas Jones hurt his ankle today in practice.

No word on how serious, but they said he was walking around on it.

That Clemens punt was IMHO way worse than Chad's duck against KC in 05's opener. I'm not a huge Clemens fan and I hope we can get a Schaub-like deal with Clemens in the fuiture. All in all, he's a fine backup to have though. Just please no Tuisasfhjfhjf

Re: Jets offseason thread

Chad needs to raise his Knockdown slider to 100 and lower his INT slider to 0.

2 INTs, both returned for TDs; both in the 1st Quarter.

And we screamed when this was done in NCAA and Madden 08, go figure.
