Well there aren't many Texan fans here it seems

But I think we will suprise people. I see 6 games I think we can win on that schedule...

Cheifs, Falcons, Dolphins, Raiders, Browns, and Bucs.

I see 5 toss up games...

Panthers, Jags twice, and Titans twice.

I see 5 games we SHOULD lose

Colts twice, Chargers, Saints, and Broncos.

So I think we will win 6 games AT LEAST and anything above that is good.

Re: **2007 Houston Texans Thread***

I think the Texans will go 8-8 this season. With some good luck we can get to 9-7, and with some bad breaks, 7-9.

Most people are still skeptical because Schaub is unproven and Green is 30 years old. But Schaub/Green is still better than starting Carr/Lundy. That is an improvement on the offense right there.

Here's one more thing most people don't bring up. The Texans return game is going to be absolutely LETHAL. Jerome Mathis retuning kickoffs, and Jacoby Jones returning punts is a hell of a combo. Even if they don't have any returns for TDs, they will still put the offense in good field position a lot of times

Texans just traded Jason Babin to Seattle for Michael Boulware!

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/5101129.html

Kubiak wasn't kidding when he said the team was looking into some moves. I liked Babin and I thought he was going to be better this year, but we do have some depth at d-line. I think it is a good trade though, becaause we really need the help at sAFETY.

We REALLY REALLY needed help back there so it is a good move if it goes through.

I think it has pretty much gone through though...I hope it has.

If so, It is another good move by Rick Smith.

I am a Texan fan since day one and I am very excited about the season. We will surprise some, not saying Super Bowl or anything but we will be better. I am looking for 8-8 or 9-7.

Re: **2007 Houston Texans Thread***

While I'm not really a Texans fan, I do think they will go anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7. I think Matt Schaub is the real deal, and Ahman Green should help the running game. The secondary is something I am concerned about however.

Re: **2007 Houston Texans Thread***

I too, am expecting anywhere between 7-9 and 9-7. What this team needs is experience. Now that Carr is gone, the team and its fans who hated Carr (or, well, gave up supporting him...) can get a little kickstart in morale.

A lot of the losses we had last year were because of mistakes that only come from more experience and coming together as a cohesive unit. 6-10 last year could have easily been 9-7. I have been saying this since last season ended.

This team is better than people think, it just needs a little time.
