Peterson is going... will Herm soon follow?

I just want to see this team progress. The season has been an obvious let down but the last few weeks we've seen sparks of talent shining through.

If Herm goes, who'd you like to see take the helm?

PS - I just found the team threads forums!lol I been posting around the gaming forums too much!

GO CHIEFS...

Well he's said he's not resigning, so it'll be either up to Clark Hunt, or whoever becomes the new GM. I expect to see him on the sideline next year.

Raiders win today + Seahwaks win today + Chiefs loss = Chiefs have a guaranteed top 3 pick.

I was worried we might end up with the #5 pick like we did last year, but we no longer have to worry about that. Now if somehow the Rams can beat Atlanta, and the Chiefs can lose to the Bengals, we'll have the #2 pick.

Well we lost to Cincy. The Rams lead the Falcons as of right now.

Man, I wanted to end the season on a high note for us.

Beating Cincy wouldn't be ending the season on a high note. Losing to Cincy and getting the #2 pick, now that would be a high note.

Rams are going to lose as well, so it's going to come down to SOS. Last I saw there was a 1 game difference, with the Chiefs having the tougher schedule, so we'd pick third. Just have to wait and see how everything goes today.

Yeah well I suppose you're right. Always disappointing to lose though.

St. Louis also lost yeah.

I'm interested to see who becomes GM right now and whether or not Herm stays.

Since I didn't want to take the draft thread off track...

Yes, the Chiefs set the sack record. 10 whopping sacks. The previous record was Baltimore who had 11 in 9 games, during the strike shortened 1982 season. The record for a full season was Baltimore who had 13 in 1981.

According to NFL.com, teams have had 11 or 12 sacks in one GAME 25 times in NFL history.

If you take away the two SD games, and the NE game, the Chiefs had 3, yes 3, sacks in the other 13 games. How pathetic is that? That's so horrible I don't even see how it's possible.

I'm really surprised this hasn't gotten more coverage on TV. Those numbers are pretty historic.

Yeah and you know it's not really the low sack number that's disappointing, it's just the poor pass rush in general.

All season long, there has been zero pass rush on the opposing QBs. A few more knockdowns and few more hurried throws here and there makes a difference.
