Official Denver Broncos Thread

Loved Denver ever since I was a young kid, just wanted to see what any Broncos Fans expect from this season.

They should be back in the playoffs, at least I hope. I think they improved during the off season, now its just a waiting game to see how much Cutler has improved.

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread

I follow the Broncos.

So far in the preseason this is what Ive seen:

Marcus Thomas should be starting and Amon Gordon sucks.
DJ Williams is struggling with the move to MLB and it could cost the team games
Kuper might be the best OLinemen. The guy rarely loses one on one battles and played tackle well against Cleveland.
Mike Bell should be worrying about his job.
Dre Bly is not better than Foxworth
When QBs do a 5 step drop Denver is able to generate pressure with Moss and Dumervil.

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread

Theres is our list of cuts for 8/28/07
Cedric Cobbs (RB) cut.
Paul Ernster (P) cut.
Troy Fleming (RB) cut.
Quentin Harris (S) cut.
David Terrell (WR) cut.
Demetrin Veal (DT) cut.
Kenard Lang (DE) cut.
David Kircus (WR) cut.
Teyo Johnson (TE) cut.

I have always liked Kenard Lang, 6 sacks last year was good for him, but he had to be cut with all the incoming Defensive linemen. Not really shocked by any of the other cuts.

Ernster is a minor surprise but he seems to do better in the preseason or early in the season whereas Sauerbrunn seems better over the course of the season. Ernster had out kicked Sauerbrunn though during PS. Im looking forward seeing who Denver keeps at RB. They usually have 3 RBs and now there are 4 in the mix. It seems to be between Bell and Young.

Young has looked good to me so far in the preseason, I think it will be hard for them to get rid of him, but then Mike Bell contributed to the team last year so I guess week 4 of the preseason will hopefully clear this issue up.

Go Broncos!

Been following the team since I moved to Denver when I was seven. I loved seeing my two favorite teams in preseason at the stadium on an annual basis...Niners vs. Broncos.

As for the season, as long as Cutler improves and the new DE's can generate some pressure forcing teams to challenge Bly and Bailey the playoffs seem a sure thing.

I am a bit, but Cecil Sapp should be fine. They'll probably run a lot more single back sets to get Scheffler on the field more anyway.
