Agree. Its time to mentally prepare for the season that stands before us.

Good news though. Harrison reported to OTAs:

Browns restricted free agent running back Jerome Harrison is participating in OTAs this week despite not signing his one-year tender yet.

    Go Browns.

Josh Cribbs is no longer covering kickoffs.

Instead, they are going to try him at WR. I have no problem with this because of his new contract, I just hope he pans out.

Damn. I think he's one of the few (very few) that can handle both roles IF needed... and on the Browns it's needed.

Not to cover kickoffs and punts. They have several good special teamers with Costanzo, Sorensen, Maiava, and Ventrone.

Now if he were giving up his return abilities, yeah, I'd say that would be a mistake.

I did think that's what you meant and what I was referring to. He's also a beast on coverage too though, but that's easier to give up and I think he's earned his way off of that spot, for sure.

Oh he's clearly the best gunner we've ever had, but at this point, his contract demands that he makes more of an impact than on just special teams.

Just one reason I'm not panicking ...yet...

Our only playoff appearance started with a close opening day loss.

I'd think that the fact that they aren't playoff contenders at all would be enough reason not to panic, Browns fans should be expecting incremental improvement in fundamentals, not the playoffs with this group.

I think it is harder to be a Browns fan than any other team in the NFL besides maybe the Lions.

With many now saying that the Browns could pretty easily end up 0-7 at their bye, what would it take for Holmgren to make a mid-season change at HC?

It's an understatement to call this a brutal schedule now that I look at it... holy cow.

It could happen but I'm not sure it would. All of this should've been expected coming into the season. They kicked out the starting QB(s), top WR and basically top RB. They are rebuilding the team from the ground up in one of the hardest divisions in the NFL. They should've come into the season prepared to go 0-16. I'd really hope they aren't looking at wins and losses when evaluating the team or the coaching staff.

I haven't watched much of the Browns games so far this year so there may still be reason to make the change but I think it was pretty clear that they wouldn't be very good this year.

Not really seeing this team as a playoff contender right now. Not that I really did before...

The focus on bringing in guys like Phil Taylor tells me that they have a 3-5 year plan (which started last year). I personally hope they can find a way to finish the season 7-9 or 8-8.. That will be enough to show me that they are going in the right direction.
