Re: Jacksonville Jaguars

Looks like 2011 Garrard was on a collision course with an operating table.

Yeah, I think JDR/Gene did make the right decision with this. Has it been all honey and roses? No. Certainly not. But having a gimpy Garrard back there... it would have been even worse (and we saw that in the preseason).

Better it to be the future than the past. Let's go, Blaine.

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars

Even if they made the right decision why didnt they go out and sign a capable qb of running this team.

Right now they're in the running for andrew luck sweepstakes

this offense is historically bad

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars

Not to mention, nobody likes to hear that their team is rebuilding (especially a team that was pretty close to knocking on the playoff door last year) but this team didn't seem like one looking more at making the playoffs than rebuilding coming into the season. I don't think anyone thought Gabbert wouldn't be behind center at some point this year, and that's not how you think if you expect the team to be heading to the playoffs. Same with coming in with Thomas as not only the #1 WR but really only viable outside target.

Who's available though? Do you want Vince Young or Taveras Jackson? Maybe Hasselbeck, but how good would he be with this receiving corps? I doubt he makes them a playoff team. And if you aren't going to be a playoff team, you let your young quarterback play. I don't want to see this team win 10 games and lose in the first round. I want to see them in AFC Championships and Super Bowls. And to get there, you have to be patient. They aren't going to end up with the #1 pick. And even if they did, then they could either take Luck and trade Gabbert or keep Gabbert and trade the pick for a king's ransom.

If last resort and hell freezes over : Jake Delhomme

wwwharton your right i had the jags going 10-6 with healthy garrad knowing peyton manning had neck problems
when your a small market team you always have to be competing its too easy to say forget this year and build for the future

You're kidding right? You don't actually think any of those guys are better than Gabbert do you? And if they are, then get rid of Blaine now, because he's obviously not your franchise QB.

How did you have the Jags winning 10 games? I don't see how, even with a healthy Garrard, they go .500. The only way I see that they realistically go 10-6 is if they go 5-1 in the division, and even then they'd have to win two of the following: @NYJ, vs. NO, @ Pit, vs. Bal, vs. SD, vs. TB, @Atl. And that's me giving the Jags (with a healthy Garrard) the Cincinatti and Carolina games. I just don't see that happening.

It's gonna be fun when the chargers and jags are sharing a stadium in Los Angeles.
