Question.

I obviously never knew that 2k10 on ps2 had classic rosters. With that said how does 2k10 play on the ps2? Does it still have the 2k8 feel with updated teams and graphics so to speak for 2k10?

That's pretty much what it is.

It plays very similarly to ESPN NHL 2K5, NHL 2K6 and so on.

When you think of 2K10 in the PS2 era, think Legacy in the EA PS3/360 era. It's the culmination of everything good in that series, perfected, fine tuned, tweaked to perfection and with a fresh coat of paint in the commentary taken from the "next-gen" 360/PS3 version. Plus, progresive scan to sharpen the resolution. So, yes, I'd say fromthe ones I've played 2K5 to 2K10 on that generation, none of the previous ones do anything better and for the sake of updating, it has a database that's closer to where we are today. The only reason I give a slight, slight bump to 2K5 is the ESPN presentation and that the editor means someone could sit there and edit the whole game should they want to. I've been tempted to at least fill in the classic teams.
Long story short, yes, 2K10 on PS2 has the feel you're talking about with improvements. And I still smile every time I'm playing and remember the last minute real-time feature. Just fantastic.

Hey, by the way, what sliders have you got for these? A lot of sliders are personal but do you have anything specific for general physics based things like friction, speed burst, etc?

I just play default on All-Star.

Oh really? Ok. Had a game last night between Vegas and Washington, it played so well. Amazing that this game went unnoticed but to be fair, I remember, I was there, nobody (myself included) paid any attention to the PS2 anymore in 2009. Which looking back was silly because the 360/PS3 took another year or two to really hit its stride with the capabilities of those consoles.

And do you play this on PS2 or emulated? I'm playing it on PS2 but I hear people play it emulated on PC which never causes anything but massive lag, terrible framerate, and skipping for me.

I would never use anything less than the original hardware, this was developed and released via hours of tinkering on a PS2 slim.
