Question? Can you swap in the classic teams for franchise mode in NHL 2k8 for PS3? I can't do it on NHL 2K7. I'd kill to play the 91/92 Blackhawks in franchise mode or the early 1980's Islanders in franchise mode.

Sorry. I'm not sure. I've never even tried that on the 360. Wish I could help. Maybe someone will chime in here who's got it going on a PS3. Let's hope!

Hello, So I tried to create a franchise with the historical teams on the XBOX 360 version but it doesn't work. It only brings in the current rosters for the teams.

However, here's a workaround for what you want to do. Just load up my All Time Teams roster that's made up of teams with their all time greatest players. Then create a franchise and you will then have a franchise with all of those greats.

If you want a specific year for a team, you'd simply need to create the players that are missing from the team's roster and then you'd have it.

The only downside is that some of the older players who didn't wear a helmet will have one on now (same thing for my all time roster). No way to create Bobby Orr without a helmet. It's a small trade off though.
