2K Sports announced today that NHL 2K9 will be the first officially licensed NHL game to make its way onto the Nintendo Wii. You can read more about this announcement in the official Press Release. 2K also passed on the official pack cover art for each console and a teaser video featuring Rick Nash.

It will probably be a port of the PS2 version of the game and maybe some specific controls.
