How Do You Call A Timeout?

Everytime I pause the game to try to call a timeout, the option is grayed out. What am I missing?

You have to do it right before the whistle. Right when you hear the whistle pause the game then you can use the time out window. But you have to do it right away or it does not work. I have no idea why they have it that way, but it is what it is!

But yeah, this is an annoying "feature" that has been in for a few years now.

If you have auto line changes on, there may be the chance that your cpu coach will call it for you. Not sure. If that's the case, in the past they did it at the dumbest times.
