What? That's news to me. I wouldn't expect Waz to ever get banned from TP.

Yea, he was banned. No explanation. It is chaos over there, they are locking every thread. I am fed up with that place.

Maybe OS will become the new hub for un-biased hockey talk. Waz was the only reason I visited that site, he had all the info.

Outside of Waz, all the mods over there are EA boys, which is fine, but they needed Waz to balance that out.

Re: What happened to Waz at Thunderpuck?

Hey guys... (whoa, feels nice being able to reply IN an actual forum now).

I gave the explanation of what happened on ESPNHockey.net, so I won't repeat it here. But yes, essentially, I pretty much got sh*t on, and I have yet to receive an explanation. Don't jump to yelling "conspiracy!", but SOMETHING was up and they wanted me out of there. I'm not sure what they'll tell the public, but I've posted a factual recount of everything that's happened behind the scenes recently. Whatever Russ wants to say in regards to that is up to him; but I know what I did (er, didn't do) and know something else was up behind doors I never had access to.

But ESPNHockey.net will remain, I will still be posting exclusive updates and things straight from Sega/VC/Kush, and I am weighing numerous hosting and forum options. The amount of support I've gotten (holy crap, the influx of emails is incredible!) is amazing, so thanks to everyone.

I honestly don't know what I did to allow this to happen. And the fact that it wasn't discussed with me (i.e. "Here are some issues... maybe we'd be better off parting ways") makes it even more strange. I came back from out of town for a day or two, only to find that I had been banned, removed as a mod, all my online files for ESPNHockey.net deleted, and the words ESPNHockey blocked via the swear filter. You are no longer allowed to utter the words "ESPNHockey" or "ESPNHockey.net" at Thunderpuck. ALL of this was just wiped out in one clean sweep, all without explanation or precedent.

But life will go on. And mine will without Thunderpuck. This has been an embarrassing disgrace for TP (the integrity of the network, the administrator, and several staff members is certainly questionable), and I'm ashamed to have even been a part of it.

WAZ, do you have any intention of creating a forum on espnhockey.net? I can think of about 10 users who might benefit 2k5 with a more Treyarch MB-style approach (small number of users, more suggestions instead of blanket complaints, general community feel). I don't feel like TP is a valid direct vein of communication with Kush and Visual Concepts anymore, so I'm really interested to know if you have any thoughts on this.

you should get VC to sponsor your own ESPN hockey forum, TP seems to sort [censored you naughty boy] from [censored you naughty boy]. ESPN forum has alot of EA [censored you naughty boy] who roam freely , but ESPN [censored you naughty boy] at EA get banned. lol , TP is a joke now.
