BRING BACK NHL2k!!!

I just dont understand why 2k Sports can't make a hockey game to compete with EA! They have had great success with their basketball games and baseball games with their physics, presentation, great commentating, etc. It's the closest thing to watching TV. If they can make a basketball as good as NBA 2k12, there shouldn't be no reason why 2k Sports can't make an incredible hockey game. If they can do an Association or Franchise mode like in NBA, that would be sick. Updated draft classes and rosters where you can download online. Actual PA Arena announcers. TV Broadcast camera. Better fights and brawls after the whistles. Full Stanley Cup presentation. I mean, if they did all those things. They would destroy EA out of the water. And to top it all off. Have Mike "Doc" Emerik do the commentating or have downloadable commentary. 2k sports can do amazing things. The worst thing to do is leave all your hockey fans to dry.

Come on guys! BRING 2k HOCKEY BACK!!

2K10 was only average because it lacked overall depth. To me it's still more fun to play than any of EA's game. As far as 2K being able to compete with EA. I'm sure they could if they went all out and released a game as deep and with the graphics of their NBA series. However, they lost ALOT of money on the series previously. The fact that the series switched developers several times didn't help its cause. VC was at a distinct disadvantage trying to rebuild a dying series that Kush/2K had pretty much already killed. I would love for a comeback to happen, but I don't see it happening. I think 2K will bring back NFL before they bring back NHL.

I don't have hard facts here but if I had to guess the order of sports genres that sell most to least: Soccer, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey

But, if you haven't tried 2k10 with new rosters / goalies / sliders, you don't know what you're missing. Honestly, I don't need a new hockey game. I am fully content with 2k10.

I wanted to like 12 but just didn't.

Someday 2k will throw it's hat back in the ring.

I wish Sony would put a team on the hockey side like they did with MLB the show. Would get me to buy a PS3 for sure.

This, the PS3 version is garbage due to zero support from 2k. Which seems to be a theme from them with how often they shut online servers down sometimes mere months after a title ships, removing access to roster updates and the like.

On the contrary, the PS3 version is very playable both offline and on. So far it's saved me $60 the last two years too.

Perhaps to you, me personally I couldn't find a balance with the sliders, either the goalies were sieves, or they warped to make saves. Lines that don't change when I want them to, Dmen that couldn't set up a proper breakout to save their digital lives.

I gave the NHL2k series chance after chance the last couple iterations and kept going back to EA's game. 2k's lack of polish just doesn't hold me. And the lack of support from Take Two the PS3 version received with 2k10 was inexcusable.

2K had the best hockey game going for awhile and then it almost seems that at the same time they got the MLB license they gave up on hockey, to bad.

It's in case we forgot he was done with 2K Hockey, which I think is done anyways. You never know though, we haven't heard anything saying one way or the other. Wait...that won't happen either most likely. We'll be left to figure it out for ourselves.

Curious if you have happened to try the game with the new 2k share rosters that include edited goalies or any of the new sliders options.

While not perfect, combining new rosters, edited goalies and new slider ideas the game is playing great. Much much different than before.
