Wow, nice win on the road to get 1 win away from bowl eligibility. Also, nice to see you back, I missed this and your Jags Dynasty.

Re: The Coaching Career of Greg Patterson (NCAA 14)
Thanks! Yeah, its been awhile seen I've posted anything. Part of that because Ghosts came out and I got back from being out of town for 9 days on Monday. I'm not sure if I'll continue the Jaguars franchise. If I do a Madden dynasty I'll likely pick the Lions, as they are my favorite team, but not sure if I'll do one though.
Hopefully we can keep the momentum from these past two games for the final three games!
Edit: Anyone who is still following this and has a recruit please let me know that you're following; because I will then post updates of your recruit.

Re: The Coaching Career of Greg Patterson (NCAA 14)
Jackson, Turner leads dominant Rice
rushing attack, winning 34-20
356 rushing yards and forcing 6 turnovers leads Rice past Florida Atlantic
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Rice Owls dominated Florida Atlantic on offense and defense, the score doesn't match the beating the Owls had tonight.
Rice quarterback Depruis Jackson ran allover the place, rushing for 172 yards and 2 scores. He threw 196 yards and a touchdown, but also did have two interceptions. One of those interceptions inside the end-zone and other returned for a touchdown. Despite getting sacked 6 times by FAU, 3 of those coming from outside linebacker Mike Brown, Jackson still managed to gain a lot of yards.
Luke Turner also had a big day rushing, having 17 carries for 114 yards and Turner Petersen ran for 51 yards. The Owls rushed for a of 356 yards as a team.
"We couldn't stop their rushing attack and we kept giving them the ball on offense. That isn't going to win any games. We have to stay focus and get ready for our final two games, in hopes of being bowl eligible." Said head coach Greg Patterson after the game.
Florida Atlantic's offense was pretty bad in tonight's game. Having a season high 6 turnovers, 4 of those being interceptions thrown by Quez Johnson.
Johnson threw for only 194 yards and no touchdowns. He did break off a huge 80 yard touchdown late in the first quarter to give the Owls a early lead. But couldn't do anything after that and also fumbled once on a scramble.
The score doesn't tell how much Rice dominated Florida Atlantic. The score should of have been something along the lines of 40+ to 6. But, a couple of lucky plays or miscues from Rice had the score little bit closer. The first one being Johnson's 80 yard touchdown, no one was on the ride side of the field, the side on which Johnson ran into the end-zone from. The other two were interceptions by Jackson in the end-zone and then the other being returned 78 yards to tie at 20-20 early in the fourth.
Even Antonio Washington was shut down, only gaining 35 yards off 15 carries, after having three in row massive games. Williams Dukes was the only real highlight on offense, catching 5 passes for 110 yards.
Florida Atlantic started the game off kicking a field goal on their opening drive, Rice would do the game on their first possession. After Jackson threw his first interception, Jackson on the read-option would keep it and score on 80 yards to take an early 10-3 lead.
A couple of minutes in the second FAU would kick a 45 yard field goal to take a 13-3 lead. The would be the last score for FAU for a while, but not for Rice. Rice's offense started to get going, scoring touchdowns with 1:32 and 0:05 left till halftime to take a 17-13 lead.
At end of the third quarter Rice would kick their second field goal of the game to make it a touchdown lead at 20-13.
Jackson would throw his second interception of the game to David Lozandier, which would be his second of the game, and return it 78 yards to the house to tie it up at 20-20 with 6:36 to play. Rice would quickly make it a touchdown lead, however, with 5:28 left. Jackson would finally break off a 49 yard touchdown, breaking off multiple tackles with 1:23 to play. The touchdown would seal the game for Rice.
Both teams are now even at .500 and both could easily make a bowl game.
Despite losing, defensive players David Lozandier and Mike Brown played extremely well, both having great games. Lozandier having two interceptions and leading the game with 14 tackles. Brown had 7 tackles and tied the school record for sacks with 3.Comment

I have a question for you. I was wondering what template you used to create the Rivals prospect scouting graphics you made?Regrets Aren't Something You Did, It's Something You Didn't Do

FAU holds off North Texas to become bowl eligible, winning 31-24
Antonio Washington and the defense carried the Owls to victory
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- It was the last home game for the seniors of Florida Atlantic and it was a good one. Winning 31-24 to become bowl eligible for the first time in five years.
The win wasn't easy though, it took the running game and the defense making a couple of big plays to win it as the passing game was nowhere to be found. Quez Johnson didn't throw an interception, but was 5 for 14 for 32 yards and a touchdown. The Owls had only passed it 5 times in the second half after Johnson was 2 for 9 at halftime.
Antonio Washington didn't mind, as had ran for 208 yards and a touchdown. He also broke off three 20+ yard runs. This was Washington's third 200 yard or more game in the past five games.
Doug Brady also helped the Owls' rushing attack, carrying the ball 8 times for 54 yards and a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Looking at the box score alone it is kinda hard to believe Florida Atlantic (6-5, 4-3 Conference USA) won this game considering they had 10 less first downs, 318 yards of total offense, and was a horrible 1 for 8 on third down. While North Texas had 440 yards of total offense and was 8 for 16.
But special teams was the main difference in the game. Starting with Cre'von LeBlanc who averaged 16 yards a return on 4 returns and then Darnell Martin intercepting North Texas' punter on a fake punt which was returned for a touchdown.
"We might have not had the prettiest stats, but all that matters to us is the win." Said head coach Greg Patterson after the game. "Our special teams was the reason we won this game, [Antonio] Washington, and our defense made some big plays to help us. But our special teams gave us good field position on offense and defense."
North Texas started the game off with a 10-0 lead after a field goal and a 17 yard touchdown run by Antoinne Jimmerson early in the second quarter. Florida Atlantic, however, would quickly tie it with a 48 yard field and a 10 yard run by Antonio Washington both coming in the second quarter.
North Texas had the ball in field goal range with 0:07 left till halftime but elected to try and get closer, but with no timeouts Brock Berglund completed a pass down the middle inside the 20 but time had ran out and it was locked at 10-10 entering halftime.
North Texas had the ball to start the third quarter and was held to fourth down after a big first down. But instead of punting it they tried some trickery with a fake punt pass, but that didn't fool the Owls as corner Darnell Martin jumped the pass and intercepted it for a 49 yard touchdown. Both teams would have trouble moving the ball for a little bit, but FAU went down field and on third down Quez Johnson found Marcus Cunningham wide open on and caught the 12 yard touchdown pass.
North Texas would cut it within 7 again with a 3 yard touchdown by Reggie Pergram with 5:08. But, the Owls would quickly make it 14 points again with Doug Brady running it from 2 yards out nearly two minutes later. Berglund led the Mean Green down field again, converting four third downs and throwing a 7 yard touchdown to Lancaster with 1:43 left.
The Mean Green, however, would be unable to recover the onside kick and the Owls ran out the clock to win their sixth game of the season.
Owls' halfback Antonio Washington and linebacker Mike Brown both broke school records. Washington ran for his 11th touchdown of the season in the second quarter which broke the previous record of 10 held by Alfred Morris. Mike Brown recorded his 11th sack of the season in the second quarter as well. Tying Cory Henry who broke the record last season under Greg Patterson.
Florida Atlantic will be looking to ensuring a bowl game next week against rival FIU, in hopes of a 7-5 season. FIU is currently 5-5, but 5-1 in conference play.Comment

Florida Atlantic receives verbal commitments from four big players
__________________________________________________ _____________________________________________
POSTED NOVEMBER 26, 2013, 3:26 PM ET
BY JONATHAN SMITH
Florida Atlantic had received their fourth verbal commitment this week today, their seventh of the season. Adam Powers, Matt Garrett, Troy Jude, and Jim Hall are the players that the Owls are looking forward to help this season.
Kicker Jim Hall especially, the No. 2 kicker out of Boomington, Illinois could become one of the best players out of this class thus far. Hall has one of strongest legs out of this year's incoming freshman kickers. He choose them over high class and prestige teams such as Notre Dame, Nebraska, Michigan, and Ohio State.
Another player the Owls are excited for next season is cornerback Matt Garrett. Garrett the no. 19 corner according to Rivals, has great speed and amazing coverage skills. He has really stepped up his game this season as well.
Adam Powers a tackle out of Sidell Louisiana, is someone the Owls are in dire need of. His great pass blocking skills, and sub-par run blocking skills are big reason for his no. 17 ranking by Rivals. Powers could possibly see playing right away as a freshman.
Troy Jude has had a quiet season this year, but an impressive one, like everyone else on this could see playing time right away. With three outside linebackers graduating this season the Owls have been looking at a lot of linebackers. Jude has nice speed and gets to the ball carrier quickly. He isn't a bad tackler, but needs to improve for sure. But his speed should help him out a lot with that.
